How To Open Incognito Mode by Default in Google Chrome (Windows)
If you browse the web in incognito mode, your browsing history won't be saved on your computer.It's easy to switch to Incognito mode in the browser, but if you forget, you'll compromise your privacy on a shared computer.There is an easy way to make the browser open in incognito mode.To launch Chrome in incognito mode on your Windows desktop, you have to create a shortcut.
Step 1: Go to your desktop and create a new shortcut.
You can create a special incognito mode shortcut for your desktop, but it won't be possible to modify the Chrome shortcut that's in your Start menu or on your taskbar.If you already have a Google Chrome icon on your desktop, you can skip this step.If you want to open the menu, press the Windows key on your keyboard.Don't click the chrome icon if you want to locate it.You can drag the chrome icon to your desktop.You can now see a new icon on your desktop.Go back to the menu and drag the icon if you can't see the desktop.If you already have a Chrome icon on your desktop, you'll be able to use this new shortcut.
Step 2: On your desktop, click on the chrome icon.
A menu will be expanded.
Step 3: The properties are on the menu.
This opens the dialog window.
Step 4: The "Target" field has -incognito added to it.
The address you see next to "Target" is the full path to the internet browser.You need to add -incognito after that path.Click the mouse after the quotation, press the spacebar, and then type "incognito" since the last character is a quotation mark.You can restore your previous setting by removing -incognito from the Target text box.
Step 5: Click OK.
Your changes will be saved by this.
Step 6: You can change the name of the new chrome icon on your desktop.
It's a good idea to change the desktop icon to something like "Chrome Incognito" so you know what it does.Click the chrome icon on your desktop, type chrome incognito, and then press the key to do it.
Step 7: You can double-click the icon on your desktop.
If you double-click the icon, it will open in incognito mode.Chrome will not open in incognito mode if you open it from your Windows Start menu or any other way other than double-clicking the new icon on your desktop.To open the incognito version of Chrome, double-click the icon on your desktop.Pressing on the keyboard will allow you to switch to incognito mode from a standard Chrome window.
