Don't be rushed to get to the Forest of Fallen Giants.A small amount of time spent exploring Majula will reward you with the essential Estus Flask, as well as a few handy bits and piece of equipment.

Make your way to the fallen knight on your left to get a blessing.Go through the opening that's just ahead of you if you turn around so that you're facing left.The Homeward Bones and Lifegems are located just after the knight on your left in the twisting tunnels.

When you get to a set of stairs, head up them and walk into the structure.On the other side of the door is an enemy that you should be prepared to deal with.If it's dead, grab the item next to it to get a few of them.

Go all the way along the path if you do a 180.You will eventually find yourself by a bonfire.Talk to the woman in green over by the cliff at the right of the bonfire.The Estus Flask allows you to heal once you've spoken to her.After speaking with her, you'll be able to level up at the bonfire.

The hut on your left is where you turned around.You'll find a Lifegem and a Soul of a Nameless Soldier on the right-hand side of the hut, but make sure to get there before doing anything else.To find a Lifegem hidden beneath a tent, go to the far left after you've picked these up.

There is a doorway to the right of the tent.Go through it and then take the stairs down.The Crimson Parma can be taken from the coffer in the middle of the stairway.Go into the hallway to the right once you reach the next floor.

When you reach the bottom, walk forward until you get to a lever.Pull it, then walk through the doorway.You can pick up a Broken Thief Sword at the end of this section.Go back up the stairs on the right-hand side after you've looted them.When you reach the lever, pull it.

Make your way back outside to Majula and then take a left to reach the hill.You'll get to a stone soon.Before it becomes a member of the company's covenant, Kneel.Homeward Bones can be seen to the left of this stone.

Make your way back towards the bonfire, then head all the way to the right along the cliff edge.You can get a Rusted coin if you follow the corner all the way around.

Continue down the hallway until you reach a passage on the left.Go down it and then use the lever at the end to open the gate.After walking over the bridge, keep going along this path.Open the chest at the end of the plank to get hold of a Human Effigy.You can get hold of a Homeward Bone if you jump over to the area that's just behind the chest.

Things are going to get more interesting from here on out, be warned, with all that light loot over and done with.The Forest of Fallen Giants is the first area of the game.
