How To Organize Bookmarks in Firefox

Firefox is a great browser that makes surfing the web fast and fun.We will show you how easy it is to organize your bookmarks with these simple steps.

Step 1: You can launch Firefox.

If it isn't already on your desktop or dock, look for it in your Start menu or Applications folder.

Step 2: You can see the View menu in your menu bar.

Then, select.There is a sidebar on the left of the window.There are at least 3 icons that you will see there.There is a strip across the top of the address bar.You don't have to dig for websites if you use that.The Bookmarks Menu is where most of your bookmarks are located, and is what you see when you click on it.

Step 3: You can add bookmarks to the Bookmarks Toolbar.

It will be easy to get to where you go quickly.From the bookmarks you've collected, drag the top 5 bookmarks into the Bookmarks Toolbar folder.The most efficient way to use the Bookmarks Toolbar is to keep it limited to the sites you visit frequently.You can add to the bookmarks.If you frequently visit a number of related sites, instead of using up the toolbar space for every site, put them all in a bookmarks folder.All the bookmarks in that folder will be opened in separate tabs by the menu option.

Step 4: You can create folders.

A filing system is needed to organize the rest of your bookmarks.You may have a lot of bookmarks, but you may not have many categories for them.We'll put them in the bookmarks menu folder.There are possibilities for your category folder names.

Step 5: A new folder is created.

Control-click on the bookmarks menu folder.Select from the contextual menu.

Step 6: The folder needs to be named.

In the New Folder window, type a name for the folder, and if you like, a description or memo of what's inside.The sidebar will show the new folder you created.Continue this procedure until you have a good idea of what to do with your bookmarks.You can always add more!

Step 7: The old bookmarks should be in the new folder.

After sorting through your bookmarks, you will have to decide what to do with them.If you find a bookmark that seems to fit multiple categories, put it in the very first one you thought of.

Step 8: The source folder should be selected.

There is a folder that holds your bookmarks.

Step 9: A bookmark can be moved to the new folder.

You can drag the bookmark to the new folder by clicking on it.Place the bookmark in the folder by releasing the mouse button.Continue until all your bookmarks are placed.If you missed a category, you may need to create new folders for it.

Step 10: Sort your bookmarks.

There are two ways to sort your bookmarks.

Step 11: There is a way to sort automatically.

You can sort the bookmarks by clicking on the folder containing them.You can sort by name from the contextual menu.The contents will be sorted by name.Individual URLs will be followed by individual folders at the top.

Step 12: Sorting by hand.

Click on the folder you want to open manually.If you want to move each bookmark to a different position, click and drag.If you want to move a bookmark to another folder, just drag it to that folder and release the mouse.

Step 13: There is a temporary sort.

Sometimes you want something other than a basic name.You can do this by opening the library window.You can click and select on the menu bar.Click on the folder you want to view.The main window will show its contents.Select the menu and then choose a sort order.The Bookmarks menu and sidebar don't reflect this sort order in the Library window.
