How to Paint Over Cultured Marble Counters, Floors and...

It was something we knew we wanted to change, but it was going to take a lot of money to get rid of.

The dark green countertops, tiles, and tub surround in the master bathroom stuck out.

I wondered if I could use wallpaper or paint to make the green look more intentional and cohesive.

He was open to the idea of painting over the cultured marble, even though he had never done it before.

The cost of labor and paint was less than what it would have cost to replace the tub surround.

We decided to have our painter use the same paint to cover up the green marble in the shower as the tub surround came out so great.

In addition to painting over the marble here, the full renovation included painting the bathroom walls, putting in tile floors, new mirrors, and a sconce.

The total cost of this renovation was brought down by the integration of the painted marble surfaces with the other new elements.
