Slamwich is a card game that can be played by children and adults. The goal of this game is for a single player to collect all 55 cards in a special bread-shaped deck. When players detect a certain pattern, they can add that pile to their own hand of cards by hitting the central card stack. It only takes a few rounds to get used to Slamwich.
Step 1: Before you start the game, identify the food, thief, and muncher cards.
Take a look at the cards that are in the box.Take note of the 44 total food cards, which are decorated with different kinds of sandwich topping, such as peanut butter, Jelly, and eggs. There are 3 thief cards and 8 muncher cards in the game. There is a child in a striped shirt and bandana on the cards. There are numbered cards in the top left corner that depict a child eating a sandwich.
Step 2: Pick one player to deal the cards.
Pick a player who will divide the cards between the other players. You will need a dealer to decide the order of the game later on.The dealer only has to shuffle the cards at the beginning of the round. Before you start, make sure you have at least 3 players. You can play with up to 6 people.
Step 3: The players should be dealt an even number of cards.
All 55 cards should be distributed equally between the players. The players should keep their cards in a pile in front of them.Place the extra cards in the center of the table.Proceed to begin the round if there are no extra cards.
Step 4: On your turn, flip over a single card and add it to the center stack.
The player to the left of the dealer starts the game by flipping the top card on their stack so it's face-up on the table or play area.Don't flip the card over until everyone can see it.
Step 5: Continue the game in a clockwise direction.
When it's your turn, add a card to the center pile.Take the topmost card from your personal pile and place it in the center of the table.Make sure everyone can see the card at the same time as you place it down.
Step 6: When 2 identical cards are placed together, slap the center deck.
If there are 2 identical cards in the middle pile, you should keep an eye on them.If any ingredient card is placed twice in a row, slap the pile before anyone else. You can keep all of the cards if you are the first player to hit the center pile. The unshuffled cards should be placed at the bottom of the pile.Any 2 cards in the deck, including thief and muncher cards, can be used with this type of card combination.
Step 7: When you see a Slamwich, hack the middle pile.
The A-B-A pattern is also known as a Slamwich. When you see 1 ingredient sandwiched between 2 cards of the same ingredient, be sure to slap the center pile as quickly as possible.Any player who wants to claim the center pile should slap the peanut butter card that was discarded in that order.
Step 8: Don't let the thief get away!
If a thief card is placed in the middle pile, keep your reflexes sharp. When you spot this card, yell "Stop Thief!" before hitting the center pile. The first player to yell this phrase and slap the center pile gets to keep the entire stack. If a player hits the center pile without yelling, they don't get to keep the cards. When Thief cards are put down, be careful not to hit any other players.
Step 9: Put down a Double Decker or Slamwich to overrule the muncher card.
The player that discards is entitled to the entire center pile. The player left of the muncher should put down the number of cards on the card.A different player can claim the center deck by being the first one to slap the card stack if the new discards create a Double Decker or Slamwich. The effect of a muncher card is canceled by thief cards.Regular ingredient cards work the same way as bandit and thief cards.A Double Decker is created if the player left of the muncher sets down a second card on top of a pre-existing one.If the next player puts a card with a different value on the board, the game will shift to the left. The player left of the newest muncher discards the number of cards on the most recently placed card.
Step 10: If your card is not disputed, add the center pile to your hand.
You are entitled to the entire center card pile if you put down a muncher card and none of the next player's discards leads to a thief.Add the center cards to the bottom of your pile without shuffling them, as is the case with regular slapped decks.
Step 11: If you slap the center stack of cards wrong, you'll lose a card.
If you end up hitting an invalid card combination, you will lose a card.Take a card from the top of the pile and put it in the middle pile.Continue the game with the player to the left. After your initial error, you lose a card. You are free to discard once your turn comes around again.
Step 12: Continue until one player has all of the cards.
The goal is to collect as many cards as possible. As the game progresses, keep your reflexes sharp. You can't see your cards as you discard them, but you can take advantage of them. You are not in the game if you run out of cards.
