How To Protect Files on a Sandisk USB Flash Drive with Sandisk Secureaccess in Windows

When you pass along your personal flash drives to friends and family, you may forget that you have confidential files in them.You are at risk of having your data stolen when this happens.You can have peace of mind knowing that your files are protected.You can keep all your private and confidential files in a password-protected folder, created by the program.You don't have to worry about sharing your data with anyone.

Step 1: Attach the flash drive to your computer.

You can plug in the flash drive to your computer with any available port.

Step 2: You can download SecureAccess.

The setup file can be found at http://downloads.sandisk.com.

Step 3: You can move SecureAccess to the drive.

The setup file can be copied or moved to the flash drive.The file is named SanDiskSecureAccessV2_win.

Step 4: Don't forget to install SecureAccess.

Double-click on the setup file if you want to install it.

Step 5: A password can be created.

You will be asked to create a password for the secured folder after installation.You must have a key in your password.You can create a strong password with the help of tick boxes.The password strength is displayed as well.Click the "OK" button if you want to proceed.

Step 6: Know how to keep files safe.

You will be shown 4 ways to protect your files before you start using the program.There are different ways in which files can be added to your vault.Understand and read these.Refer to Part 3 for more details.

Step 7: View my vault

You will be brought to the main screen after setting up your vault.The vault folder is on the upper half of the screen, while the file directory is in the lower half.Your vault is ready.

Step 8: You can select files.

To move files to the vault, use your computer's file directory to select the files you want to copy.

Step 9: There are files to add.

Drag and drop to copy or move the files.Drag and drop the files from your computer into the vault.The vault will hold the files.You have to copy and paste.Use the keyboard to select the files from your computer.You can copy the files to your clipboard.Go to the vault and use the keyboard to paste the copied files.There are files to add.The button has a folder icon with an arrow inside it.The add files command is used.Your file directory is where the window will open.Select the files you want added to the vault by navigating through the folders.

Step 10: Make sure you back up your data.

The program can be used to back up your data inside the vault.Click on the Back up now button if you want to back up data.A backup of your data will be created.You cannot have more than one file at a time.

Step 11: Go ahead and log off.

You have to log off for the vault to be protected when you add files to it.Click on the button to log off.

Step 12: Leave the program.

To exit the program, click the red button on the upper right corner.

Step 13: It's time to launch SecureAccess.

If you want to go back to your vault to access your files, double-click on the SecureAccess file.There will be a launch.

Step 14: You can log in.

Since the vault is password protected, you have to log in first.Click the button to log in.

Step 15: View my vault

You will be brought to the main screen again.You have the ability to manage your files.
