Step 1: Use a password that is unique to you.

Step 2: A secure password can be chosen.
A password of at least 12 characters is recommended by security experts.You should use a mixture of upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols in your password, as well as try to avoid words that are found in the dictionary.
Step 3: You need to secure your email account.

Step 8: Make sure the notifications are turned on.
When a driver accepts your request, and then arrives at your pickup location, you will get a notification on your phone.If you don't book a ride, your account could be hacked.If you disabled the notifications in the past, you can re-enable them on the phone.Go to the "Settings" > "Sound & Notifications" and tap "view all apps", then make sure the button is in the ON position.
Step 9: You can view your bank account activity.
To keep an eye on your transactions, log in to your online banking system frequently.Make sure your charges line up with your trips.If you don't know, a charge between $5 and 10 could be a cancellation fee.An authorization hold is a charge that is pending.Depending on your bank's policies, it should void in a few days.
Step 10: Make sure you check your email.
A confirmation email is sent to the address on file when you change your account information.If you haven't instigated changes, your account could be compromised.There is a chance that a hacker may send an email that is not from the company.Check the sender information to make sure the message is legit.Passwords and financial information should never be provided over email.
Step 11: Credit cards can be deleted from the ride-sharing service.
If you no longer use a credit card to pay for your ride, you can remove it from the account and keep it safe.Select the card you want to remove from the menu.Click the edit (pencil) icon to remove it.
