You can learn how to create a quote block in a comment.You can't use the mobile app to create in-text quotes.
Step 1: The website is open.
You can find it in your computer's web browser.This will open the home page of the site.Click in the top-right corner of the page and enter your password if you aren't signed into the site.
Step 2: You can open the post.
Click the title to open the post if you want to leave a quote.
Step 3: You can find the comment you want to quote.
If you want to post a quote, scroll down until you find it.The original post's content can be found at the top of the thread.
Step 4: Pick the section you want to quote.
If you want to quote the comment, click and drag your mouse across it.
Step 5: The selection should be copied.
If you want to do so, press either Command+C (Mac) or SHIFT + C (Windows).
Step 6: You can click on the "Quotation" icon.
Below the "Comment as" text box is a set of quotes.The quote block looks like a grey line in the text box.Click below the comment if you want to reply to a comment.
Step 7: Take your copied selection and paste it.
Press Command+V (Mac) if you want to do it.The quote appears to the right of the quote block.
Step 8: The quote block needs to be closed.
To get rid of the quote formatting, press Backspace once and enter a new line.
Step 9: You can add your response text.
You can reply to the quote below it with whatever you want.
Step 10: If you want to make a comment, click here.
There is a dark-blue button in the text box.You can post your quote and comment.Click below the text box if you reply to a comment.
