If you accidentally deleted a file from your Box account, you can easily restore it.Anything deleted from your Box account, even if it's on your computer, online, or mobile device, is stored in a Trash location within your account.After deletion, the files stay here for 30 days.They will be removed permanently after that.Go to part 1 to learn how to recover deleted files.
Step 1: Go to the website Box.
Hit Enter when you type in the URL on your browser.You'll be taken to the website.
Step 2: You have to log in.
You can use your Box account to log in.Click the "Log in" button if you have entered the necessary information.
Step 3: Go to the bin.
The section titled Resources can be found from the main All Files and Folders page.This is on the right side of the page.Trash can be found under the Resources section.You can enter the Trash location by clicking on this link.
Step 4: There are folders and files.
Within the last 30 days, all the files and folders from your Box account can be seen in the Trash page.The original file and folder names are still valid.They can be seen from the list when they were deleted.The corresponding file sizes will also be displayed.
Step 5: There are folders and files.
There is an eye icon on the upper-right part of the page.You can see the sorting options by clicking on it.You can sort the list by date, name, and size.You can use these options to organize your navigation.Click on the option that you prefer.
Step 6: To restore files, select them.
There are tick boxes at the end of each file.If you want to restore them, tick the ones you'd like to do.
Step 7: Restore files.
The reverse-curved arrow can be found on the upper- left side of the page under All Files.The confirmation dialog box has aRestore button on it.You should restore your selected files to their previous locations in your Box account.
Step 8: Go to the trash can.
The section titled Resources can be found from the main All Files and Folders page.There is a sidebar on the page.Trash can be found under the resources section.You can enter the Trash location by clicking on this link.
Step 9: There are files and folders to view.
You can see all the files that have been deleted from your Box account in the Trash page.The original file and folder names are still valid.You can see when they were deleted from the list.The corresponding file sizes will also be displayed.
Step 10: All files should be restored.
You can restore all files in your Trash by clicking the button on the upper- left side of the page.All files will be restored to their previous locations when the Trash folder is emptied.
