How To Recover Snapchat on Android

If you ever lose access to your two-factor authentication method, you can learn how to create a recovery code that can be used if you lose your phone.

Step 1: You can open it on your phone.

There is a white ghost inside the yellow icon.You can usually find it in the app drawer or on the home screen.If you don't remember your password and still have access to the phone number or email address on file, you can use this method to get back into your account.

Step 2: Log in with your password.

There is a red button near the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: The first blank is where you should type your email address.

Step 4: Did you misplace your password?

There is a blue link above the "Log In" button.

Step 5: You can choose between phone or email.

The reset code will be sent to you based on this.

Step 6: Show that you are not a robot.

You have to tap all the squares that contain the object mentioned at the top of the screen.

Step 7: tap Continue if you want to verify your phone number or email address.

If you entered a phone number, you can choose to receive the code via voice or text.The code will be sent via email if you entered an email address.

Step 8: Click Continue to type the code.

Wait a few minutes if you didn't receive the code.

Step 9: If you want to create a new password, tap Continue.

The new password needs to be entered into the first and second boxes.This is a sign that you are going to useSnapchat.

Step 10: On your phone, openSnapchat.

Step 11: Your profile photo/avatar can be tapped.

It is at the top left corner of the screen.Your profile opens.

Step 12: Go to the gear.

The profile screen has it at the top-right corner.

Step 13: If you want to verify your login, tap it.

It is the first option.When prompted, tap if a confirmation screen appears.

Step 14: The recovery code is tap.

If you lose your phone number, your recovery code can be used to log in on other devices.

Step 15: There is a generator code that you can tap.

It is at the bottom of the screen.

Step 16: You must enter your password before you can continue.

This shows the code.

Step 17: I wrote the recovery code down.

You will still be able to access your account even if you lose access to your email or phone number.

Step 18: On your phone, openSnapchat.

Step 19: Go to the log in.

There is a pink stripe at the bottom of the screen.

Step 20: tap Log In to enter your usernames and passwords.

A confirmation text or email message will be sent to the number or address on file if you use two-factor verification.You can use the recovery code you generated.

Step 21: When prompted, tap Continue to enter the recovery code.

You will be signed in if the code is entered correctly.You will get a message telling you that Login Verification is disabled.The recovery code is only used once.Make sure to create a new code after you log back in.
