How To Remove Content Lock

Content Lock prevents children under the age of 18 from accessing and viewing adult content on a mobile device.The British Board of Film Classification regulates and enforces the Content Lock feature on all mobile devices that operate under EE and its brands.

Step 1: The EE My Account page can be found at https://myaccount.ee.co.uk/login-dispatch/.

If you have a pay-as-you-go account with EE, Orange, or T-Mobile, use any other method to remove Content Lock.Pay-as-you-go customers can't use the online method to remove Content Lock.

Step 2: You can sign in to your EE account using your mobile phone number.

To remove Content Lock, you need to be a primary account holder.

Step 3: Click on the device you want to use.

If you use Orange or T-Mobile, the option will be "manage your phone."

Step 4: Select "Off" after scrolling down to "Content Lock."

Step 5: You can choose to save your settings.

Adult content can now be viewed on your device.

Step 6: You can get rid of Content Lock by calling 1818 from the EE mobile device.

The department that handles all Content Lock inquiries will be in touch with you.If you're calling from a non-EE device, dial instead.

Step 7: Inform the EE representative that you want Content Lock disabled.

Step 8: The representative should be given information about disabling Content Lock.

The representative can run a credit card age verification check if you give your name and date of birth.

Step 9: When your request has been processed, wait to receive confirmation from the EE representative.

Content Lock will be disabled when it is complete.If the Content Lock department can't help you with disabling this feature, you can call EE customer service at 150 from your device.EE customer service can respond to your request.

Step 10: Find the nearest EE store.

You can find the nearest EE location by going to store finder.ee.co.uk/ee/stores.html and entering your postcode.

Step 11: Bring an approved photo ID with you to the store.

You can bring a passport, full driver's licence, EU card, or citizen card.

Step 12: Inform the EE representative that you want Content Lock removed.

The representative will review your photo ID and make a decision on disabling Content Lock.

Step 13: If you have a corporate or business account with EE, you should contact your account manager to resolve Content Lock issues.

It is possible that you don't have the permission to modify Content Lock settings.

Step 14: If Content Lock can't be disabled on your device, use a third-party wi-fi network to view websites.

When browsing the Web on third-party networks, Content Lock is not applicable.
