How to remove melted plastic from a stove top is one of the topics discussed in Mom 4 Real.
Have you ever forgotten that your stove top was still warm?I think I'm a real pro at accidentally sitting things on a hot stove.A couple of years ago, I placed a loaf of bread on the stove and didn't realize it was still warm.I walked away to grab some lunch meat from the fridge and almost immediately smelled burning plastic. The bread bag melted onto my stove top as I turned around.I tried to use a spoon to remove the plastic from the stove, but it wouldn't budge.I tried to think of a way to remove it.I thought it was a lost cause.
I got to work after grabbing some baking soda.It took less than a minute to remove the melted plastic from my stove top. There is an article on how to easily clean melted plastic off of a stove top burner.

Thank you for this post, Jessica. It worked. You saved a painter's life.Let me explain.A painter is going to paint my kitchen.I draped a plastic drop cloth over the counter tops.I went grocery shopping again. He left by the time I came back. The first thing I see when I open my grocery bags is a small hole in the plastic. The plastic stuck to the stove top.I tried peeling it.Don't do this, I warmed it up a little. The plastic was spread out farther.I was going to kill him.I typed my dilemma into the browser when I went to my computer. You were able to save the day.In your picture, it came off in a chunk.I had to clean it up.It came off completely.
