There are a lot of totes, backpacks and other items that need to breathe or air dry quickly.People and insects are protected with mesh net.Small holes and rips measuring under three inches in length, width or diameter are quickly repaired with patch or tape.Larger repairs from three to 12 inches require sewing and reinforcement with mesh nets or tapes.
Clean the edges of the hole with a cotton ball or pad.The alcohol should be allowed to dry.
Cut two patches or pieces of mesh net tape to measure at least a quarter-inch wider than the hole or rip.Round edges on patches of tape.Remove the backing from the patch.
Behind the rip or hole, place your hand or a flat item such as a book, folder or wood board.Place one patch or tape over the damaged area.Rub it hard to create a bond between the two things.
Place the flat object against the repaired side of the mesh hole.If you want to use the other piece of mesh net tape, remove the backing from the first patch.Press the remaining patch/tape over the other side of the rip/hole.Rub firmly to encourage the bond between the fabric and the glue.

If the mesh netting is nylon, use nylon thread for the sewing needle.The nylon thread may damage thePolyester thread.The thread should beknotted at the end.
