The bolts that are securing the alternator to the engine and the brackets should be loosened with a wrench.The belt of the alternator should be removed from the pulley.

Pull the electrical wiring plug up by hand.Remove the nuts securing the wires to the alternator using a nut driver if you want to unfasten the ground wire.

Attach the bolts to the engine with a wrench and slide them out by hand.Remove the alternator from the engine compartment.
