How To Replace the LED Driver in a Dimplex Optiflame CHT20LE Electric Fire
There is a fault on a Dimplex CHT20LE fire, and these instructions are to fix it.The flame effect works for a few minutes after the fire is switched off.TheLED driver module is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Step 1: Plug the fire from the mains.
Step 2: The front grate has coals or pebbles on it.
Step 3: The 2 screws at the front of the grate should be removed using a cross-head screwdriver.
The grate needs to be removed.
Step 4: The rotisserie should be removed.
Remove the rubber connection from the motor, then slide it out to the right.
Step 5: The 2 LEDs are mounted on the metal brackets.
The back of the fire is where the screws are located.Use a cross-head screwdriver to remove the screws.The module should be removed from the brackets.
Step 6: Remove the covers at each end of the module using a cross-head screwdriver.
Before connecting the wires, make a note of the wire's colour.The low voltages are marked with a "+" and "-".If the LEDs are connected the wrong way, they could be damaged.The wires need to be disconnected.
Step 7: Get a replacement module.

Step 8: Take care of the polarity by connecting all the wires.
Step 9: The rear wall of the fire needs to be re-fit.
