Resetting your TI-84 calculator will wipe the data from it and restore the factory settings.Before taking exams, most professors and teachers will require you to reset your TI-84 to prevent you from accessing saved formulas and information.
Step 1: If you want to save data or programs, back up your TI 84 to a computer.
This will allow you to restore any saved information at a later time.The official Texas instruments website can be found at https://education.ti.com/en/us/products/computer_software/connectivity-software.Select the option to download TI connect to your computer, then follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.Attach the TI 84 to your computer using a cable.To back up your calculator, follow the on-screen instructions.After you connect the calculator to your computer, you can use TI connect to reload all programs and data.
Step 2: Press the second button.
The second function of the + key is the "MEM" button.This will open the menu.
Step 3: Select the number 7.
The Reset menu will be displayed.
Step 4: To scroll right, press the right arrow button twice.
Step 5: Select the second option.
All data, programs, and apps will be erased from the TI 84 calculator.The TI-84 will be reset and restored to factory settings once the screen is complete.
