There is a set of prayer beads called the Holy rosaries.Other Christian churches are known to occasionally use the Holy rosary, which is associated with Roman Catholic tradition. The Holy Rosary is a form of devotion that should be treated with respect even though it is not necessary to be a Catholic to pray it.The Holy Rosary can be used for meditation and prayer, allowing one to praise God while reflecting on the life of Jesus and Mary.
Step 1: The sign of the cross can be made by holding the crucifix in your fingers.
The rosaries are said by traveling around a loop of beads and saying a prayer. If someone is going to say the whole rosary, they usually start with the crucifix at the bottom.
Step 2: Say the Apostle's Creed.
The existence of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the resurrection are summarized in this prayer, which is a statement of Christian belief. The Apostles' Creed says, "I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord."He ascended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.I believe in the Holy Catholic Church, the forgiveness of sins, and the resurrection of the body.Amen.The meaning of the word "Catholic" is usually changed by Protestants when they say the Apostle's Creed.
Step 3: Go to the first bead and say the Lord's Prayer.
Say the Lord's prayer if you have the next bead in your fingers. The prayer was passed from Jesus to his disciples in order to express their devotion to God."Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be your Name," the Our Father said. The Kingdom will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.Give us this day's bread and forgive us as we forgive those who hurt us.Deliver us from evil, and lead us not into temptation.Amen.
Step 4: Say three Hail Marys if you move to the following group of three beads.
Next, say one Hail Mary for each of the next three beads, taking each bead in your fingers as you begin each prayer. In order to obtain an increase in the virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity, Catholics are offered 3 Hail Marys. The Lord is with thee, said the words of the Hail Mary.Jesus, Blessed art among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.Holy Mary, Mother of God, please pray for us sinners at the moment of our death.Amen.The Hail Mary is offered to Mary, rather than God or Jesus, which makes some Protestants hesitant to say it.The many arguments put forth by members of the Catholic Church and various Protestant churches regarding the prayer's biblical basis may help you make a decision. Some Protestant churches have their own versions of the rosary that do not include the Hail Mary prayer.
Step 5: If you want to say the Doxology, move the chain or cord between the three Hail Mary beads.
The Doxology is a short song of praise for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The Doxology says toGlory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. It will be for ever, as it was in the beginning.Amen.The Doxology will be marked with a thick or knotted section if the Holy rosary is made from string.
Step 6: Go to the next bead and say Our Father.
The beginning of the Holy rosary is marked by a large and/or decorative bead. The five decades of the Holy rosary are composed of ten Hail Marys and separated from each other by Our Fathers.
Step 7: Say the first decade with the "Hail Mary" for each bead.
The first group of ten beads should be moved counter-clockwise after the central bead.Say one Hail Mary for each bead in the decade, moving along the length of the beads as you go.When they don't have time to say the entire Holy rosary, many people say a single decade as a short version.
Step 8: Proceed to the chain or cord that separates the first decade from the next bead.
You can add the Ftima Prayer or the prayer for priests at this point without moving along the beads. The Ftima Prayer asks Jesus to forgive us and save us from the fires of hell. All souls should be sent to heaven, especially those in need of mercy."O Jesus, our great High Priest, hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priests," the prayer says.Give them a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will increase in the course of their priestly life.If they are lonely, comfort them. They should be strengthened in their sorrows.Point out to them that suffering is needed by the Church to purify the soul and that they are needed for the work of redemption.
Step 9: Start with the Lord's Prayer.
The first decade of the Holy rosary was completed by you.Continue along the Holy rosary's beads, with one Our Father for the first bead, followed by a Hail Mary, and a Doxology. You have to work your way around the chain of beads until you reach the large central bead.
Step 10: Go to the center medallion and say the name of the statue.
The Blessed Virgin Mary is extolled in the same way as the Hail Mary. The Sign of the Cross is needed to finish the Holy Rosary. You're done! The words are "Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, and our hope."Do we cry, poor children of Eve; do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears? After this, our exile, show us the blessed fruit of the womb, Jesus.O sweet Virgin Mary!O Holy Mother of God, please help us to be worthy of the promises of Christ. If you like, you can add any prayers you want at the end of the Holy rosary. These can be prayers from the heart or official prayers like the Our Father and Apostle's Creed.
Step 11: The mysteries can be used to deepen your relationship with Christ and Mary.
The Holy rosaries is more than just a prayer tool, it's also a way to reflect on important events in the lives of Jesus and Mary. Many Catholics choose to reflect on certain mysteries as they pray the Holy rosary. There are five mysteries in each set. There are individual mysteries in the life of Jesus and Mary. There is a religious virtue associated with each mystery. It's all about charity, patience, etc.By reflecting on these mysteries, someone who prays the Holy rosary can strengthen his or her relationship with Jesus and Mary, meditating on each event and the spiritual fruit associated with it.Everyone can do this, even if they don't choose to.There are four sets of mysteries.Pope John Paul II added the fourth mystery in 2002.Pope Saint John Paul II added mysteries to the set in 2002.
Step 12: For each decade of the rosary, reflect on a mystery.
The person says the rosary proceeds as normal from the crucifix through the first few beads, in honor of one of the mysteries.S/he meditates on the first mystery as he prays the Our Father, the ten Hail Marys, and so on.S/he prays as he meditates on the second mystery. The person says the rosary in this way, reflecting on a different mystery for each decade. Each set of mysteries contains five mysteries. Each day of the week, a person reflects on a different set of mysteries. There are more detailed instructions for each set.
Step 13: On Mondays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you can reflect on the five joyful mysteries.
There are happy events in the lives of Jesus and Mary. There are two events that take place before the birth of Jesus. The following are the spiritual fruits associated with each of the Joyful Mysteries.
Step 14: During Lent, remember the Five Sorrowful Mysteries on Tuesday, Friday, and Sundays.
Sorrowful Mysteries are sad events in the lives of Jesus and Mary. The events are centered on the crucifixion of Christ. The Sorrowful Mysteries include Contrition for our sins, the Scourging at the Pillar, and the Crowning with Thorns.
Step 15: On Wednesdays and Sundays, look at the Five Glorious Mysteries.
There are events associated with the resurrection of Christ and the entry of Jesus and his mother into heaven. The Ascension, the Coming of the Holy Ghost, and the Assumption of our Blessed Mother are all associated with the Glorious Mysteries.
Step 16: On Thursdays, reflect on the Luminous Mysteries.
The Luminous Mysteries were added to the Catholic tradition in 2002.These mysteries are from Jesus' adult life. The Luminous Mysteries are not necessarily close to each other chronologically, while the Sorrowful Mysteries all take place in sequence during a single short period. The Luminous Mysteries and the spiritual fruits associated with each are listed below. The wedding was to Jesus through Mary. The ability to manifest through faith is understood.Jesus' Call of Conversion to Messiah is a part of the Kingdom of God.
