You can learn how to use your device to set helpful timers using simple voice commands.Setting timers with your voice is one of the most useful features.You can set more than one timer at a time, get the status of your timers, and name or label them if you want.You can use the app to manage time.
Step 1: Say something like "Alexa".
If you say wake, she will listen for your next command.If you've changed the default wake command to "Echo," "Amazon," or some other command, then use the wake commands you previously set.
Step 2: Ask for a timer to start.
Say, "Alexa, start a timer for," and tell her the length of time you want her to track.You would say "Alexa, set a timer for 5 minutes."Set-Timers-on-Alexa-Step-2.jpgYou can set a timer for 24 hours.
Step 3: When you set the timer, give it a name.
When you set your timer, you can name it.When you need to set multiple timers and don't want to get confused, this can be helpful."Alexa, set an oven timer for 1 and a half hours."
Step 4: Do you want to know the status of your timers?
You can ask for the status of the active timers.If you say "Alexa, check my timers," for example, you will get a list of the remaining time on each timer.The timer's name can be used to get the status of the timer.If you wanted to check the time left on the "Oven" timer, you would ask "Alexa, how long is the oven timer?"
Step 5: An active timer can be stopped or canceled.
If you wanted to stop or cancel a timer, you would say "Alexa, stop timer."The current timer will be stopped before it goes off.You can say, "cancel" instead of "stop."A timer can be stopped by specifying its name.To cancel the timer named "Oven", you would say, "Alexa,cancel the oven timer."Say "Alexa, stop all timers" and cancel all the current ones.
Step 6: A timer has gone off.
Say "Alexa, stop" when a timer goes off and starts ringing.It won't stop the timer if you say "quiet" instead of "stop".The action button on your device can be used to silence the timer.
Step 7: The app is open.
If you have a mobile phone, open the app and sign in to your Amazon account.The light-blue app has a white outline of a speech bubble.Make sure you sign in to the same account that you registered your device with.
Step 8: You can tap.
It is in the left corner.There is a pop-out menu on the left side of the screen.
Step 9: Reminders and alarms can be tapped.
Under the "Lists" option is the fourth option.
Step 10: Select the correct device by tapping.
At the top of the screen, tap the down arrow and then select the device you created the timer on.
Step 11: The timeRS tab can be tapped.
It can be found in the top-right corner of the page.
Step 12: You can tap the timer to manage it.
There are options for the timer.You can either stop the timer or cancel it.You can't pause timers in the app.
