You can learn how to set up the Drop In feature on yourAlexa-enabled devices.Drop In allows you to talk and listen to the same thing.Drop In can be enabled for certain contacts and friends that you allow so you can communicate with other devices that aren't on your account.When another person drops in on your device, you will hear a chime and they will be able to talk to you instantly.
Step 1: The app is open.
If you have a mobile phone, open the app and sign in to your Amazon account.The app has a white outline of a speech bubble.Make sure you sign in to the same account that you registered your device with.
Step 2: You can tap.
It's in the left corner.There is a pop-out menu on the left-side of the screen.
Step 3: You can tap on the settings.
It's the last option on the menu.
Step 4: Pick the device you want to enable Drop In with.
From your listed devices, tap the device name.
Step 5: You can drop in by scrolling down and tapping.
It's under the "General" heading.
Step 6: Either On or Only my house.
Drop In can be used by other people on your devices if you select these options.Drop In can only be used with theAlexa devices on your Amazon account.Contacts and friends can't Drop In on you from their devices.Drop In can be used with the devices on your Amazon account as well as with any contacts or friends you allow to listen in and talk to.No one will be allowed to listen in on your device.Allow Drop In permission to a contact before they can drop in on your devices.
Step 7: Allow specific contacts.
You need to give your contacts and friends permission to use Drop In before they can use it on your devices.You can tap at the bottom.The tap is at the top.You can tap a contact.Go to the position.
Step 8: Wait for your contacts to give you permission.
Before you can drop in on your contacts, you have to wait for them to grant you permission.If you give someone else permission to Drop In on your devices, that doesn't mean they'll let you do it.
