You can control your child's device with the Family Link app.You will learn how to set it up.
Step 1: Make sure your child's device is compatible.
To use the link, your child must have an up-to-date operating system.They won't be able to use the app if their operating system is lower.The operating system can be checked by going to the settings app.You can scroll all the way down to More info.You should see your system version if you tap on it.Children are not able to use the app on the other platform.
Step 2: Make sure that your device is compatible.
Parents will want their device to run the latest version of the OS.The app won't work if the device runs less than that.Go to the settings app to check the operating system.You can scroll all the way down to More Information.You should see your system version if you tap on it.Only a few phones that run higher than that will work.
Step 3: The app can be downloaded onto your device.
Go to the Play Store if you want to do this.The Play Store icon is a white box with a colorful triangle.It will look like a white bag with a colorful triangle on it on older versions.Once in the Play Store, type " Family Link" into the search bar, then tap on the app icon that looks like a green and yellow kite.You have to tap "Install".
Step 4: On your device, open the app.
There are pages about how the Family Link App works.Once you're done reading, tap "Get Started".
Step 5: The checklist should be read.
It's there to make sure you have everything you need.Next is when you're done.
Step 6: You need to sign into your account.
You need to enter your email address and password.Press Next when you're done.
Step 7: Your child's account needs to be created.
To create an email address for them, enter their name, birthday, and gender.Discuss with your child what email address and password they want.It is a good idea to write your child's password down.Don't let your child give out their email address to people online, and talk to them about safety.A secure password is hard to guess and easy to remember.The password for your child's favorite food could be #EyE!LUv!PI!I love pie.
Step 8: Thirty cents is what you should pay.
This will show you are the parent and not a child.The fee is non-refundable.Remember that you won't get any money from Google.
Step 9: Make sure you agree to the disclosure.
If you agree, check the boxes.It is important that you fully read, understand, and agree to it.
Step 10: Go on the phone with your child.
Step 11: You can log in to your child's account on their phone.
You will be prompted to install the app on the device when the account was created via Family Link.
Step 12: You can install the app on your child's phone.
