You can set up voicemail using your home phone or any other phone after you have purchased residential phone service from Time Warner.The process is fairly easy, but make sure to follow directions carefully.You can check your voicemail at any time from your phone.
Step 1: There is a Dial *98.
Simply dial *98 if you're using your landline phone.The automated menu will allow you to change your voicemail.
Step 2: You have to enter your PIN.
An automated voice will ask you to give a four digit PIN.The system will be able to identify your account and give you access to it.If you are using your phone for the first time, you may not have set up a PIN.The last four digits of your phone number are what your default PIN is.If you forget to set up your PIN, you can call 6-1-1.
Step 3: Follow the instructions.
An automated voice will help you set up your voicemail once you enter your pin.Listen closely.To get the voice repeat information, you can press a number.The first thing you'll be asked to do is set up your PIN.Pick a PIN that you will remember, but not everyone can figure it out.Do not use a PIN like 4444.If your cat's birthday is May 31st, the PIN 0531 could be good for you.You will be prompted to re-enter your PIN when you write this number down.You will be asked to state your name and press the key.
Step 4: Don't forget to record your message.
You can record your voicemail message with the automated system.The maximum length of your message is 3 minutes.Keep the message short and professional if you use your home phone for work.You have reached the home of Rebecca Peters.Please leave a message after the tone, I'm not in right now.If you don't take work calls at home, you can leave a message on your phone.If they run long, these kinds of messages can be annoying to friends and family.
Step 5: To listen to your message, press "2".
You can listen to your message after you've recorded it.Press 1 to set this as your greeting if you're satisfied.Press "3" if you want to record a different greeting.
Step 6: Call your access number.
You can set up your voicemail away from your phone by using any cell phone or landline.Pick up the phone and dial your access number.Your access number should be in the kit.You can find access numbers based on region if you don't have your access number handy.Time Warner's website has a list of access codes.
Step 7: Enter your phone number.
The phone number is the first thing you should type in once you've found your access number.You will be prompted to enter your phone number by an automated voice.Wait until the voice says to enter your number.
Step 8: You need to enter your PIN.
The automated voice will ask for your PIN once you've entered your phone number.If you haven't set up your PIN, use the last four digits of your phone number.You can reset your PIN by calling 6-1-1.
Step 9: You need to enter the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Wait for a prompt from the automated voice.The last four digits of your phone number will be asked.If they're the same as your previous PIN, enter these numbers.
Step 10: You can follow the system.
An automated voice will tell you how to set up Time Warner Voicemail.You can change your PIN and record your name with the help of the voice.Pick a PIN you can remember, because others will not guess it.Your own birthday can be easy for others to remember.Birthdays of distant cousins may be better.
Step 11: You can record your greeting.
You can make a recording of your greeting here.Greetings can only be for 3 minutes.If you take a lot of work calls at home, make sure to record a professional greeting.
Step 12: To listen to your message, press "2".
To listen to the greeting you recorded, press "2".You can set that as your greeting if you're happy with it.Press 3 to re-record your greeting.
Step 13: You can access your voicemail on your phone.
It is fairly easy to listen to voicemail on your TWC phone.Pick up your phone.This means you have a message if you hear a stuttered dial tone.Wait for your voicemail to pick up and dial *98.You can find out how many messages you have on the voicemail.pressing "1" will allow you to listen.
Step 14: You can listen to other people's voicemails by using your TWC phone number.
It's possible to listen to voicemails from a phone other than your TWC phone.You can use your phone number to call.Pick up another phone and dial your phone number.Wait for the greeting and then press the key.When you hear how many messages you have, you can press 1 to listen.
Step 15: You can listen to voicemails from another phone with your Voicemail access number.
You can use your voicemail access number to listen to other people's messages.You can dial your TWC access number.You can find a list of access numbers by region on Time Warner's website if you don't know how to find one.The pound key is used to dial the access number.The pound key is followed by your PIN.Your default PIN is the last four digits of your phone number, and you can reset it by calling 6-1-1.How many new messages you have will be revealed by your voicemail system.Pressing "1" will let you listen to messages.
