Do you ever want to share a quote with other Goodreads members?You can use their quote feature to share it with others.You can use this article to share great passages from the books you read.
Step 1: Sign in with your Goodreads credentials after visiting the website.
Step 2: You can access the feature.
The Community tab at the top of the page has aQuotes button next to the drop-down list button.
Step 3: Click on the link to add a quote.
The link should be to the right of the textbox on the page.
Step 4: The Quote box has quotation marks on it.
The quote can be typed directly from the book.All you have to do is to begin typing the quote when you are placed into this box by Goodreads.
Step 5: The author of the book you are taking the quote from can be found in the "Author" box.
Wait for the box to pop up.You need to give the user more information if it finds your author.
Step 6: You can find the book from the author.
If you complete the drop-down box, you can help clarify who wrote it and avoid plagiarism.
Step 7: You can save your quote by clicking on the button labeled save.
Step 8: You should be ready to share the quote.
You can download and install the app on your mobile device.
Step 9: You can link your account to the app on your phone.
All of your available books can be seen in the left-hand side bar from the home page.Go to settings, then tap the social networks option.The option that says "Link" should be on the right side of the option.You need to fill out the login form if you want to use Goodreads.You don't have to have the app installed to use it.
Step 10: If you want to share the passage from the book, open it.
The book is on the Home page of the books you have installed.If the book hasn't been downloaded to the device, you may need to press this a second time a minute or so later, depending on book size and the time it takes to download will be different.
Step 11: Select Phrases of Text can be used to select the text in a book.
If you pull it close to the side of the screen and give it a second to flip, you can pick a phrase that extends over a page turn.
Step 12: The Share button is displayed in the dialog box.
The Share button looks like a square but has an arrow pointing at the top of the box.
Step 13: "Goodreads" will be displayed in the dialog box.
Step 14: If you want to share it with others, you need to type a personal message and then tap the "share button".
When the passage has been shared, there will be a floating dialog box that displays and floats away.
Step 15: You can link your account to the app on your phone.

Step 16: Make sure the quote is completely displayed on the screen when you open the book, otherwise you'll see it on another page.
You can use the "Go to" feature to get to the place of the quote.When you are inside of a book, highlight the quote and then a few moments later go to this quote from the book menu at the top of the screen.
Step 17: You can choose the text in the book.
If you haven't already done so, make sure the entire passage is highlighted.Single tap on the passage in the book if you already highlighted it from the substep directly above this step.
Step 18: On top of the phrase you've selected, the dialog box displays a Share button.
Step 19: You can choose "Goodreads" in the dialog box.
Step 20: If you want to share it with others, you need to type a personal message and then tap the "share button".
When Goodreads shares to other social media outlets, they will use this message.
