How To Share Your Uber Ride with Friends in Uber Driver
You can give others a live look at where you go on your rides if you use the feature in your app.
Step 1: Go to the app on your phone.
The maroon icon has a white hexagon icon on it and a square design in the middle.
Step 2: Go to your settings.
Next to your Profile button, you can tap the "Account" button near the top right.
Step 3: You can access the feature by tapping on it in the settings.
This can be found between the "Speed Limit" and "Night Mode" buttons.You can get to the Share Trip follow-along by tapping the "Set up" button, which will take you to it from here.
Step 4: The feature should be turned on.
If it's your first time enabling it, tap the "Learn More" button to learn about it and then tap "Next" to the peace of mind screen and "You're in control" screen.
Step 5: You can choose either "Choose Contacts" or "Next" if you want.
You have the option of selecting contacts from my address book or from another app.tap "From another app" if you don't see any contacts when you select from address book.
Step 6: tap their name to select them from the list.
You can use "From another app" if you want to go to the sharing your rides section.
Step 7: If you use the "From address book" option, you'll be able to confirm contacts.
Step 8: "Done" is what you'll get when you tap it.
Step 9: Put yourself online.
The "Go" button is located at the bottom center of the screen.
Step 10: The feature can be enabled.
The shield button on the bottom left corner of the screen is where you can start your Safety Toolkit.If you are shown information about the features in the Safety Toolkit, read through the screens and confirm as you please, then open your safety toolkit a second time and see the menu.
Step 11: If you would like, you can share the map with more friends.
If you are using the "From another app" choice, this is not necessary.You'll be able to share your current map through a range of other apps and services when you receive your Share options.When a Driver shares their trip, they are only sharing their current location.Recipients will not be able to see the route or rider details.Your recipients will only get your updated final destination.
Step 12: When you want to stop sharing.
As long as you're online, go back into the Safety Toolkit and tap "Stop" to the right.Give it five seconds after you tap the stop button to stop the sharing.
