How to shorten blinds - wood and faux wood, and how to adjust blinds

You will need a good cutter, scissors, a flat head screwdriver, and a sticky note for this project.
If you want to know when to stop removing the slats, mark the one at the end of the rail with a sticky note.
Three or four white round colour plugs can be found at the bottom of the last slat.Use the flathead screwdriver or fingernails to remove them.Don't lose the plugs.
There are three or four holes in each slat.Cut the slat with the cutter in a straight line from the front side to the hole of the cord.The cords can be released from the hole.If you have more than 3 cords, you need to do 4 cuts.Pull the slat out of the cords.While cutting, be careful.The rail will be ruined if the cord is cut.
If you want to remove slats, repeat the process.Cut the slats beneath the slat you want to keep.Don't remove the last slat.The cutter you use is strong enough to cut them cleanly.
Lift the slats and then pull them down.This will show you that it works.
Extra cords will give a messy look, so you have to cut them.You can see a ladder pattern from where you pulled out the slats.Cut all other from the edges if you exclude the top horizontal ladder cord.Cut the rest of the vertical cord line by leaving a 3-inch cord.
After cutting the cord, tie a knot at the end of the vertical cords.You have to put the knot in the bottom hole of the last slat.You can use a stylus or pencil.
Just like any corded blinds, you can shorten the faux blinds.The steps are the same, but you don't have to cut the slats.You can take them out.If you know how the blind works, you can do it more quickly.
