You can learn how to split the fare evenly among riders.Each rider has to have a valid payment method and have their own account in order to contribute to the cost.All riders must accept the split request in their own app before the ride ends.
Step 1: All parties should have an account with the ride hailing service.
Each person sharing the cost of the trip will need an active account with a valid payment method attached.Each rider will be charged a small fee for splitting the cost, in addition to their portion of the fare.The riders will be charged the same amount.
Step 2: You can request a ride.
One person in your party can use the app to request a ride.The person who requested the ride can move to the next step once the driver accepts the request.It's not possible to split fares.
Step 3: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
As long as the trip is confirmed, you can do this before or after you get into the vehicle.There is a menu at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Next to "Riding with someone?", you can tap Split Fare.

Step 5: The name or phone number of the other rider will be entered.
You can split the fare if you send an invite to your contacts based on their name or phone number.
Step 6: Send it.
All recipients of the split fare request will receive a notification from Uber.If a rider does not receive the notification, they may have disabled it.They should be able to see the notification when they use the app.
Step 7: To accept a split fare request, tap Accept.
Before the trip ends, all riders need to accept the request.Each rider will be charged their portion of the total cost once the trip is over.The person who requested the trip will be charged for the rider's portion of the fare if they don't accept the request before the ride ends.
