Do you want to branch off and start your own coven, or are you a solitary Wiccan? This is an excellent way to start your coven.
Step 1: Think about your goal.
How many people do you want to have in your coven?Who could be a possible candidate? What are you going to do in your coven? Will there be a hierarchy or full equality? If you have any questions about your new coven, leave them for a few days and then come back and answer them.
Step 2: Start your work when you have answered everything.
Prepare the coven's grimoire and begin planning your first gathering.
Step 3: If a person says they don't want to be a part of your coven, it's not a good idea to push them into it.
You should respect their choice to stay in an exclusive coven or not.
Step 4: Discuss ideas with your new coven.
Maybe you want a uniform for rituals and meetings.Maybe you could start a business.Would anyone like to be scared on Tuesday afternoons?Don't argue too much, there are endless possibilities.
Step 5: Don't push anyone too far.
You will get a bad name if someone says they don't want to do something.Make anyone do stupid things to get into your coven.Everyone will respect you if you respect everyone. No rituals of sacrifice!
Step 6: If you aren't a secret coven, expect some badmouthing from the locals.
Modern-day society doesn't support Wicca very much, so most Wiccans stay in the broom closet. If it gets out of hand, get some help from the local authorities.
Step 7: Collaboration materials.
There are candles, herbs, crystals, etc.If you have spare parts you don't want to donate them to the Treasury. It's good to have these in case someone forgets something.
Step 8: You can create a coven calendar.
Decide which Sabbaths and Esbats to celebrate. There are some charges or rituals to do with the coven.Someone might be able to bake some food for the celebration.
Step 9: There are personal tips for adding power to your coven.
Step 10: To better understand the arts, research new forms of magic and arcane arts.
You can never learn too much hidden knowledge.Keep an open mind and try to avoid dogma; this may impede your spiritual growth.
Step 11: In one- gendered covens, create balanced duality by gathering new members.
Balance for the sun and moon is core fundamentalism of spiritual philosophy and having a setup which is strictly female or male or dominated by a specific gender will ruin it.
Step 12: Do not use dogma and stereotypes.
Magic shouldn't be stereotyped into "white" or "black".Good and bad are not real constructs.New energies will lead to more knowledge and insight.
Step 13: In a way that shows love to all, expand your religious horizon.
Do not label Satanists and other pagans as devil-worshipers or baby-killers.Accepting Wicca, satanist, shamanism, exorcists, and other magical practitioners will naturally invoke new energies, increasing your power.
