Microsoft's video streaming service is called Mixer.You can use a Windows 10 computer to stream on Mixer.You can learn how to stream on both platforms.
Step 1: Go to the website in a web browser.
Any web browser can be used on your PC, Mac, or mobile device.You are unable to stream on mobile devices even though you can create an account.If you want to stream on a Mac, you need streaming software.When setting up OBS, you need to enter the streaming key from the Mixer website.
Step 2: Click Sign In or tap the icon that looks like a person.
Click the blue icon if you're using a PC or Mac.If you are using a mobile device, tap the icon that resembles a person in the upper-right corner.If you have already signed in to your Microsoft account on your browser, clicking this will sign you in automatically.
Step 3: You can sign in with Microsoft.
The white button is in the middle of the screen.Click and enter your email and password if you need to sign in.
Step 4: Click or tap to sign in with your account.
You can sign in to Mixer using the email address and password associated with your Microsoft or Xbox account.Click or tap below the line to enter your email address if you don't have a Microsoft or Xbox account.Method 2 can be used if you already have an account.If you need to create a new account, continue with the next step.
Step 5: Click or tap Next if you want to enter your phone number.
The phone number will be used for your Microsoft account.Click or tap below the line to enter your phone number.Click or tap to enter the email address.If you enter a Gmail account, you will be taken to a page where you can sign in to your account.This will allow you to create a Microsoft account.
Step 6: Click if you want to type a password.
You will use this password to sign in to your account.
Step 7: Click or tap Next if you want to select your region.
The drop-down menu at the top of the page can be used to select your country.The month, day, and year of your birthday can be selected using the drop-down menus at the bottom of the page.The blue button says when you are done.
Step 8: You should check your email or text message.
The email or phone number you entered will receive a verification code.You can retrieve the verification code by checking your email or text messages.
Step 9: Click or tap to enter the verification code.
Click or tap if you want to enter the verification code in the web browser.
Step 10: Click or tap to enter the characters.
To verify that you are a real person, you need to enter the characters you see in the image and tap.This will allow you to sign in to Mixer with a Microsoft account.If you can't read the characters in the image, tap to hear them or to get a new image.
Step 11: You can go to the website in a web browser.
Any web browser can be used on your PC, Mac or mobile device.You will need to request a Stream Key before you can start streaming.It takes 24 hours to process a request.You can only stream on the Xbox One if you have a stream key.Without a stream key you can't stream on a computer.If you aren't signed in automatically, click in the upper-right corner and sign in with your Microsoft/Xbox/Mixer account email and password.
Step 12: You can click on your profile icon.
There is a circular image in the upper-right corner of the Mixer page.There is a drop-down menu.
Step 13: You can click on the Broadcast Dashboard.
The first option is at the top of the menu.You need a Stream Key to stream on Mixer.If you want to request a stream key, you have to watch the video that explains the rules and click.It takes 24 hours to process your request.If you try to stream on Windows without a Stream Key, you will get an error message that says "Broadcast isn't working right now, try again later".You can stream whenever you please after the waiting period.You will need to enter the Stream Key into the software to set it up.To copy your Stream Key, click the icon that resembles two sheets of paper on top of each other.Don't let anyone else see your Stream Key.
Step 14: You can enter the name of the stream.
To enter a name for your stream, use the field below.You should create a title that is relevant to what you are streaming.
Step 15: You will be streaming a game.
Below "game you are streaming" is the name of the game you will be streaming.
Step 16: Pick your audience.
You can use the drop-down menu to choose your audience." Family Friendly", "Teen" or "18+" are what you can choose.The language and content of your stream should be appropriate for the audience you selected.
Step 17: You can choose your stream language.
Select the language for your stream by using the drop-down menu.
Step 18: You can type your share message.
The Broadcast Dashboard has a field at the bottom of the options for "Today's Broadcast".When people share your broadcast, this is the message that will be displayed.You can type your own message or use the default one.To display your name in the message, type "%USER%"To display the address in the message, type %URL%.You can change other messages in the fields below.You can change your preferences for being hosted by other channels.
Step 19: Click it to save.
This saves your setup.It is now possible to start streaming on your computer.
Step 20: Start a game.
You can start any game or app on your computer.Before you start streaming, make sure to set up your broadcast dashboard.Before you can use your Windows 10 Game Bar or other streaming software, you must request a Stream Key.On the Mixer website, you can request a streaming key.You will receive an error message if you don't have a stream key.
Step 21: On your computer, press Win+G.
The Game Bar can be opened on Windows 10.The Stream Key in the Broadcast Dashboard can be used to stream using OBS.
Step 22: The icon looks like a satellite dish.
The broadcast is the icon.It is in the Broadcast & Capture panel.If you don't see the Broadcast & Capture panel, you can click the icon that looks like three horizontal lines with dots in the panel with the Xbox logo at the top.Go to the drop-down menu.
Step 23: You can choose a stream window.
Select what you want to stream from the drop-down menu.You can either stream your entire desktop or only your game.
Step 24: You can choose where your feed goes.
To find yourWebcam, use the drop-down menu below "Webcam".Pick a location that doesn't cover important on-screen and HUD information, such as a mini-map or health bar.
Step 25: You can type a title for the stream.
You can type the name of your stream using the field below.You should type a name that is relevant to what you are streaming.
Step 26: Make sure your microphone and camera are on.
To enable your microphone and camera, make sure the "Camera on for broadcast" is checked.All sound in the room will be picked up by a built-in microphone.The best way to broadcast audio is with a decent microphone.
Step 27: You can click additional broadcast settings.
The Configure Broadcast panel has it at the bottom.The Windows Broadcast settings menu can be opened in a separate window.
Step 28: The microphone and system volume can be adjusted.
The microphone and system volume can be adjusted through the settings window.How loud your voice is will affect your microphone volume setting.The microphone volume should be louder than the system volume.When you're done, close the settings window.
Step 29: Click the button to start the broadcast.
There is a blue button at the bottom of the Configure Broadcast panel.This is the beginning of your broadcast.The chat can be seen in a separate panel.The Broadcast & Capture panel has a stop button.The button has a square in the middle.
Step 30: Start a game by turning on your Xbox One.
You can play any game on the platform.You have to have a Microsoft account to stream on Mixer.You can only stream games with no microphone channels if you don't have a Stream Key.
Step 31: The controller has a button.
There is a button in the center of your controller.The guide opens on your console.
Step 32: You can choose the icon that looks like a satellite dish.
There is a broadcast icon.There is a sidebar to the left.Select if you need to change your microphone settings.You can adjust your mic and system volume there.You should use a headset with a good mic.The game volume should be louder than the mic volume.The volume you choose for your mic depends on what you're saying.
Step 33: You can select the broadcast.
The first option is at the top of the menu.If you need to change your settings, you can do so.Go to "On" and select it.If you want your feed to appear in the stream, you have to select one of the screen positions on the menu to the left.Make sure your feed doesn't obscure important HUD information, such as your mini-map or health bar.Pick when you're done setting up your camera.
Step 34: You can select more options.
The last option in the broadcast menu is to the left.You can change the chat settings with this.
Step 35: You can change the stream title.
The first option is at the top of the menu.
Step 36: You can enter a title for your stream.
The on-screen keyboard can be used to type a title that is relevant to your stream.You should create a title that is relevant to your stream.If you are playing a game with other people, you can turn on the chat party.People in your party can be heard.
Step 37: It is possible to "on" the chat.
If you want viewers to be able to chat, set the chat to on.
Step 38: You can choose your broadcast position.
Select at the bottom of the menu where you want your broadcast to go.Select one of the screen positions in the menu to the right to see where you want your broadcast to go.Click on the "Broadcast position" menu.Make sure that your broadcast is not in the same position as your camera feed, and that it doesn't block any important on-screen or HUD information during your game.If you're satisfied with the position of the broadcast overlay, you can select below.
Step 39: You can start the broadcast by selecting it.
You can start streaming your broadcast over Mixer.A link to your stream can be found at the top of the "Broadcast" menu.
