Stretching is a technique used by people with African hair.Natural curly hair can be very damaging if you don't take care of it.Stretching helps hair appear longer without disrupting the curl pattern. It is important to keep in mind that stretching your hair can damage it.
Step 1: You can apply a leave-in conditioner to your hair.
Before you wash your hair, make sure it's clean.Apply a generous amount of leave-in conditioner after it is straightened with a wide-toothed comb.If you want to evenly distribute the leave-in conditioner, run the comb through your hair again. You can use this method with dry and damp hair.It is similar to the LOC method used before styling hair. It's safe for your hair, but be aware that it can break over time.
Step 2: Divide your hair into sections.
Take your hair down the center from your forehead to your nape. This time, you are going across the back of your head from ear to ear.Take 3 of those sections out of the way.
Step 3: The rest of the hair should be applied with oil and moisturizer.
Go to the last part of your hair.First apply shea butter, then olive oil.To distribute the products, run a wide-toothed comb through your hair.If you prefer, you can use other products and oils.
Step 4: The section needs to be tied into a ponytail.
A smaller hair tie is better for this.It will make the style more comfortable for you.The hair on your head should be pulled taut when you tie the ponytail.Don't use hair ties that are tangle-free.
Step 5: Wrap a hair tie around the ponytail.
When tying off a ponytail or braid, don't wrap the hair tie around the same spot many times.Wrap the hair tie around the ponytail in a criss-cross fashion. You should be able to cover 1 to 2 inches of hair.Pull your hair back.
Step 6: Wrap hair ties around your ponytail.
Wrap the next hair tie after wrapping the last one.As you go, pull your hair taut.6 to 7 hair ties will be used for the entire section. You can wrap your hair tie one last time if you fold the ends down.It will be more secure because of this.
Step 7: The process should be repeated on the remaining sections.
You'll have a bunch of things on your head when you're done. They won't be in your hair for a long time.
Step 8: You can cover your hair with a scarf.
Wrap the hair around your head first, then secure it with pins.To hide the hair, Wrap a scarf around your head.
Step 9: The bands should be removed the next day.
First, remove the scarf and then the pins.Carefully pull the hair ties off one by one if your hair is completely dry.You risk damaging your hair if you tug or yank on the hair ties.If your hair isn't dry, cover it with a scarf and wait until it is dry.
Step 10: Divide your hair into sections.
Take your hair down from your forehead to the nape.Go along the back of your head from ear to ear and make a horizontal part.If you want to leave one of the sections loose, twist and clip 3 of them.Make sure that your hair is clean and dry.If your natural hair texture is coarse or prone to matting, you should be aware of this method. If you have thick hair, you may want to divide it into 8 sections.
Step 11: Take the rest of the section into a ponytail.
Take a long piece of cotton yarn with you.It should be at least 2 to 3 times the length of your hair.Don't use an elastic to secure the hair, just hold it in your hand.
Step 12: Wrap cotton yarn around your head.
When it's stretched out, a piece of yarn is 2 to 3 times longer than your hair. The end of the yarn should be facing away from your head.Wrap the yarn around your hair multiple times.Do not use wool or wool-blend yarn. You should use cotton yarn. There are fabric stores and crafting stores where you can find it.It would be a good idea to match the yarn to your own hair, even though you will be wearing threaded hair under wigs and scarves.
Step 13: Wrap the yarn around your ponytail.
Pull your hair taut and wrap the yarn around it tightly, like in a candy cane.If you have less than 1 inch of hair left, wrap the yarn around your hair a few more times.Don't cut the yarn just yet.It is still necessary to wrap your hair.
Step 14: You can apply a product to the ends of your hair.
Start with some olive oil and finish with shea butter. You can use other products as well.saturate the ends of your hair
Step 15: Wrap the ends with yarn.
Take the ends of your hair and put them over the yarn.Wrap the yarn around the ends until they are completely covered.Extending your wrapping past the folded-over ends is necessary.
Step 16: Wrap the yarn around and trim off the excess.
Wrap the yarn around your hair for a second time.Pull on the knot after threading the tail end of the yarn through the loop. The excess yarn can be trimmed with a pair of scissors.
Step 17: The process should be repeated for the remaining sections.
You will have rope-like strands of hair sticking out of your head when you are done. You don't have to worry, your hair will look great at the end.To get the products to work again, apply them to each section.
Step 18: Under wigs or scarves, wear the threaded hair.
Wrap the hair around your head. Then slip a wig cap over your head to hold them in place. You can either wear a wig or tie a scarf around your head.
Step 19: For at least 6 months, keep the style.
You should take the threads out and redo them every 3 or 4 weeks. If you have to wash or condition your hair during that period, you should take the threads out.You can stop wearing the threads after 6 months. After a few weeks, your hair may grow up to 6 months.
Step 20: Take your hair and divide it into 6 sections.
Cut your hair down the middle. You should create 3 sections on each side of your head.A section in front, above, and behind each ear is what you want.Take 5 sections out of the way.At this point, your hair should be dry.
Step 21: The products should be applied to the rest of the section.
Attach the remaining section with a wide-toothed comb and apply shea butter or leave-in cream. You can use a hair oil or olive oil.You should comb your hair again to distribute the products evenly.
Step 22: Attach the section to a ponytail.
If you want your hair to be pulled taut against your head, make your ponytail nice and tight. To reduce bulk, use a mini hair tie.
Step 23: The ponytail should be twisted into a rope braid.
The ponytail should be split into 2 sections.A thin rope is used to twist each section clockwise.Next, twist the ropes in opposite directions. If your hair does not hold the rope on its own, secure it with a mini hair elastic.
Step 24: The process should be repeated on the rest of the sections.
Take care of each section before tying it into a ponytail. If necessary, secure each ponytail with a mini hair elastic.Work one section at a time.
Step 25: Pull the rope braids across your head.
Pull the first rope braid from the left side of your head.Attach it with a pin.Pull the first rope braid on the right side over to the left side of your head and secure it with a bobby pin.Work across your head from forehead to nape.To stretch out the hair, pull the rope braids across your head. The rope braids may have come untwisted if you didn't secure them with mini hair elastics.Re-twist them before pinning them if that happened.
Step 26: Leave a scarf around your head for 2 days.
Your hair will begin to stretch during this time. You can wear a cute hat or switch out the scarf for something else.
Step 27: The twists need to be removed.
First, remove the scarf, then pull out the pins.Carefully undoing the twists and pulling out the hair ties.It is possible to fluff up your hair.Don't tug, pull, or yank on the hair ties. When you untie the twists, your hair may be wavy or curly. If you like it, you can wear it as a style.
Step 28: If you want more twists, redo the process.
You'll need to redo the whole procedure if your hair is very poufy.Apply the shea butter or cream. If you want to skip the ponytails, twist each mini section into a rope braid, stretch and pin them across your head.Leave a scarf on for a day.Try 8 or 10 instead of 6 sections. If you want your hair to have more definition, don't fluff them out.
