How To Style Short Hair (Women)

It is easy to take care of short hair.Short hair can be styled into braids, buns, or ponytails with a little creativity. These styles won't look the same as long hair, but they will still look great. There are lots of cute options for you if you have short hair.

Step 1: There is a mini French headband on your head.

A thick section of hair can be created by using the handle of a rat-tail comb. The braid starts on one side and ends on the other side. The end of the braid needs to be secured with a pin.The width of your forehead should be spanned by the section of hair.If you don't have long hair, secure the braid with a bobby pin.If you want to camouflage your pins, choose the same color as your hair.

Step 2: If you want to make a pompadour, blow dry your hair straight.

If you want to volumize your hair, first you need to damp it.If you want to blow dry your hair, comb it upwards and back.Use pomade or styling wax to keep your hair in place. You can lightly press on it if it's too tall for you.Curl the front part of your hair backwards using a large-barreled curling iron after spraying it with a heat-protectant product.Make sure that your hair is dry.For a little extra height to your style, use a round brush to blow dry dry sections of hair.

Step 3: Curling your hair will give it some texture.

First, apply a heat protectant to your hair.Add some volumizing mousse if it is very thin.Curl your hair using a curling iron.If you want to style your hair with pomade, let it cool to the touch.

Step 4: For a messy-chic haircut, use dry hair products.

To create volume and texture, add some dry hair products to your roots.Backcombing your hair will create more volume. You can use a flat iron to flip the ends of your hair. There is a styling wax on the ends of your hair.

Step 5: Accessorize with scarves and headbands.

If you want to keep your bangs out of your forehead, you can use a headband or pins.Wrap a fabric scarf around your head and tie it into a knot.If your bangs are too long, you should put on a headband. For a chic look, leave the bangs out of the headband.

Step 6: A braided headband is created using rope braids.

Take 2 strands of hair from the thicker side of the part. The top strand should be twisted over the bottom strand.Pull the strands together again after adding a thin strand of hair.Continue until you reach your ear, then secure the braid with a bobby pin.Between the thickness of a pencil and your finger is where the thin strands should be.This style can be done using a French or Dutch braid.

Step 7: For a bohemian look, pin back a few strands of hair.

Use a curling iron to create waves.Pull the hair from each temple towards the back of your head. The sections of hair should be secured with bobby pins. This style can be created using either a center part or a side part.If you are doing a side part, it is a good idea to put the hair back on the thinner side of the part.

Step 8: You can use a French twist on your hair.

Pin the hair from the thinner side of the part back behind your head, close to the nape.If you want to keep your hair out of your face, put it behind your head and spread it between your hands. You can form a French twist by coiling the ends of your hair.Attach the French twist with bobby pins.Texturizing spray will make it easier to work with if your hair is straight or smooth. The French twist needs at least one bobby pin on top and bottom. If you feel a strand coming loose, use more bobby pins.If you have stray strands on the sides of your head, use a hairbrush.

Step 9: Take your hair out and put it into a ponytail.

The easiest way to make messy buns and ponies is with long hair.Pull your hair up into a high ponytail and secure it with a hair tie.The short strands of your hair will slip out of the hair tie and frame your face, creating a chic, messy look.Wrap the hair tie around your ponytail if you prefer a bun.You should only pull your ponytail halfway through the hair tie.

Step 10: You can create a chignon by wrapping your hair around a headband.

Tuck your hair behind your ears, then slide an elastic headband over your head.Take a wide section of hair just behind your ear and wrap it around the elastic, creating a roll.Continue this way around the back of your head. You can use a thicker headband if you want to show it.The headband should be behind your head and just above your nape and ears.

Step 11: French or Dutch style your hair.

French or Dutch braids can be created. If you want to make 2 braids, you will have to part your hair.Attach the braids with hair elastics.Standard hair ties are too large. You can end the braids at the nape of your neck. You can change up the style by putting something on either side of your head.Use your part as a guide, and braid at an angle, continuing the line as you braid down the hair.

Step 12: A low ponytail can be created.

Take your hair out and put it in a ponytail. The middle section should be secured with a hair tie if you split it into 3 sections. You can tie a shoe by crossing the 2 side sections over the top of your ponytail.Hold the sections against the sides of your hair. You can use pins that match your hair color. To keep them out of sight, be sure to tuck them inside your hair.

Step 13: Keep things simple with a ponytail.

Take your hair out at the eyebrow level, then put it in a ponytail. If you want to make the style more fancy, you can do a French braid or twist the ponytail.

Step 14: Pin the thin sections of hair into the ropes.

Take a section from each side of the part and put it at your forehead.A thin rope is used to twist each section.Pull the ropes towards the back of your head, then cross the left one over the right one to make an X.The ropes need to be secured by crossing 2 pins in the middle of the X.

Step 15: Change your hair texture or part for a different look.

Curl your hair if it is straight.Straighten your hair if it's curly. The handle of a rat-tail comb can be used to change the way you wear it.If you want to create a side part above your left or right eyebrow, angle it towards the back-center of your crown.
