Make sure you have all of the materials for the ceramic mug process.

Once you have the right materials for performing dye-sublimation printing, follow the steps below to print a high-quality image on your ceramic mug using a mug heat press machine.

If you are printing with a Sawgrass printer. These come with a program that is easy to use.

A huge library of images, cloud storage and hundreds of templates are included in Creative Studio.

You can use programs such as Adobe Illustrator to design your own graphics if you prefer.

If you are not comfortable making your own mug templates, you can download them here.

When choosing the size of your graphics, keep in mind that a 10 or 11oz mug is 39 inches high, 9 wide.

You must use mugs that have a special coating. These mugs are made in a factory. You can't coat them yourself.

While it is possible to print full bleed over the top and bottom edges of the mug, some mugs have a tapper that makes it difficult for this to transfer.

If you sublimate ceramic mugs that are at the top or bottom, you should print 14 inch away from the edges.

We recommend that you copy and paste your design multiple times on a single piece of paper to lower your printing costs and make your production more efficient.

Transfer paper that is already sized for common mug sizes, including 10, 11, and 15 ounces, can be used when you are ready to print.

Check the box for a mirror image and use no more than 300dpi resolution, any higher will be a waste of ink and take longer than necessary to print.

If you don't select the correct printer, it will be loaded with the wrong transfer paper.

To make it easier to tape down, trim the transfer paper so that the size of the image is slightly smaller than the mug in both directions.

If you want to prepare your mug printer, set the temperature to 400 degrees.

It may take a bit of experimentation to sublimate ceramic mugs with the best results.

You are ready for pressing when your mug heat press reaches 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 204 degrees Celsius.

The press should snap closed, but be careful not to apply too much pressure or the mug will break.

Once the desired time has passed, open the press and remove the mug using your heat- resistant oven mitt.

Carefully removing the tape from the mug will allow you to quickly remove the transfer paper.

If you want to make high-quality mugs, you should check out the Sawgrass Virtuoso SG400 and the Geo Knight DK3 mug heat press.

The final product is very durable because of the dye sub inks, dye the fabric or surface like mugs, etc.The ink can't be removed.

The ceramic mug, tile, etc must have a special coating in order for it to be properly applied. All of the blanks are professionally coated for consistent printed results. There is a link at the bottom of the page: "sublimation-blanks."

There was a large black logo with red and white reversed out text. The mug was dark brown and the text was orange when I received it.There is orange color over the white text in the bottom area.

They said they couldn't guarantee anything better after I sent it back.

I have simplified the art twice, but the black background and red text still look terrible.

The next to bottom line of text is printed fuzzy even though the red text has been changed from bold to light.
