One of the more intimidating experiences at school is gym class.A large part of what makes it so is your attitude.It is possible to turn phys ed into something to be enjoyed by focusing on the positive and actually taking part.Knowing how to deal with your classmates can make you feel less embarrassed if you don't excel at sports.Just as you would with any other class, you should show up prepared for phys ed.
Step 1: Look forward to school.

Step 5: Look for a friend.
It can be more enjoyable to have a friend in class.If friends of yours from other classes share the same gym class or period, hang with them.Reach out to others if not.It's possible to compliment people when they score or pull off an impressive feat.When they recover from a spill, they must be tough.A sarcastic joke was made about people who looked less than pleased to be there.
Step 6: Be fearless.

The ball you missed could have been an easy catch.Whatever the goof was, just laugh it off.Don't take things too seriously, it's only a gym class and not the World Series.Show anyone who is tempted to make fun of you that you are perfectly cool with laughing at yourself.Some students might get competitive over a baseball game.If a teammate is upset with you for ruining a play, just keep your cool.Everyone else thinks this kid looks foolish for getting all worked up over a pointless game in gym class.
Step 8: Don't show off.
If you are really, really good at sports, you should play for the school team or league sports.This may seem like a great chance to impress people, but they aren't as skilled as you.Remember good sportsmanship, but don't rub it in your classmates' faces.This isn't a tryout, so you're not competing with your fellow students for a spot on the team.Don't get competitive and have fun.Good sportsmanship, cooperation, and teamwork are all important parts of gym class.If you're not the star athlete, your grade won't suffer.You should give your classmates a chance to play instead of always dominating the game.
Step 9: Don't wear the wrong clothes.
If your school requires you to wear a uniform, wear that.Appropriate gym wear (t-shirt, athletic shorts, sweatsuits) that fits well should be worn.It's a good idea to avoid baggy clothes that can get in the way of your hands and legs and restrict your movements, as well as excessively tight clothing.Make sure your laces are tied right.If your sneakers are loose, you can trip or even hurt yourself.
Step 10: Don't forget to wash your clothes.
Body odor can be a result of gym class making you work up a sweat.Since they have already absorbed your sweat, wearing the same outfit day after day can make you smell worse.Each day, bring a fresh change of clothes to school.If the school makes you wear a uniform, you should be able to get two.Even if you didn't wash yesterday's dirty outfit, you will still have a clean change of clothes.It is better to wash them in the sink with a drop of detergent than it is to use a washing machine every day.
Step 11: You should bring soap, towels, and other hygiene products.
Some schools require you to shower, while others only recommend it.It is up to you if you have a choice.Either way, bring a bar of soap to either wash in the shower or give your armpits a quick cleaning over the sink, as well as a towel to dry yourself.To give yourself a quick wash down, you could use baby wipes.It's a good idea to apply antiperspirant before and after the gym.Everyone is just as embarrassed as you are if you have to take a shower.
