Office workers have personal and professional email accounts.Microsoft Outlook allows you to combine the messages, calendar appointments, email addresses and other data in a single program.You can choose how you use the data in your personal and professional lives.To create a free Yahoo account, you will need to obtain the Microsoft Outlook program.You have the option to sync your entire email account or portions of the data.You can learn how to sync Outlook Data with Yahoo.
Step 1: If you haven't already, install Outlook on your computer.
Make sure it is Outlook and not Outlook Express.Yahoo can't sync with Outlook Express.Obtain the original Microsoft Office disk in order to download it.Follow the installation instructions on the screen when you insert it.Outlook is sold with the Office Suite.The software program for a network or single computer can be downloaded from office.microsoft.com if you don't have the original disk.
Step 2: Go to your email account.
If you don't know what your email address and password are, you will not be able to type them into Outlook.
Step 3: Make sure the Point-of-Presence number is on your account.
"Mail Options" is located in your Yahoo Mail account.Look for a button that will allow you to access your number.The Post Office Protocol, also known as the POP number, allows the other email program to track your location on the server so that it can sync your data.In older Outlook programs, you may need to enter the POP number when you type your Yahoo information into Outlook.
Step 4: On your computer, open Microsoft Outlook.
Step 5: Click on the tool you want to use.
The "account settings" option can be found in the drop down menu.
Step 6: "New" can be found in the menu options.
Step 7: Please enter your email address and password.
When you're done entering information, press the "Next" button.
Step 8: Click the finish button.
This will allow you to access your Yahoo account in Outlook.If it doesn't work, you may have to enter your POP number into the new menu account.
Step 9: The Microsoft Outlook program needs to be closed.
Step 10: Go to your Yahoo account.
Step 11: You can go to info.yahoo.com.
If you agree to the terms and conditions, you can download the Yahoo sync program.
Step 12: When you are done installing, open the Yahoo sync program.
You can choose your preferences.Click on the circle to choose.You can either sync from Yahoo to Outlook or from Outlook to Yahoo.
Step 13: Decide if you want it to sync every 30 minutes or manually.
Choose the manual option if this is a one-time sync of the data.Click the next button.
Step 14: You need to type in your password for your Yahoo account.
Step 15: Click on the finish button.
The application will complete the sync.To use the shared data, open either account.
