You forget to turn off the oven or pick the wrong temperature while cooking or baking, and you lose track of time.The smell of burned food is still present in your home.A few common household items can be used to get rid of this smell.You can clean the areas in your home that smell of burned food, make some solutions that will absorb the burned odor, and create your own air fresheners.
Step 1: The burned food needs to be removed.
Throw the item away once it is cool.Put burned food in a plastic bag and put it in the garbage can outside of your house.Don't put it in the garbage disposal or the kitchen garbage can.The smell will linger in the air.
Step 2: You can open the windows.
Fresh air can be brought in by opening the windows.You can get the air in your house circulating by using this method.All of your doors and windows should be open near the kitchen.
Step 3: Turn on the fans.
Plug the electric fans in beside open windows and doors if you want to circulate the air more quickly.To get the air moving, turn them on to the highest possible speed.If you have a kitchen fan, turn it on.
Step 4: Clean all the surfaces.
In rooms with an odor, wash all surfaces.To mop the floor, use bleach or a Disinfectant.If the smell is strong, wash the walls.
Step 5: You can wash or discard items that smell.
The smell is noticeable in the rooms where the fabric is used.Table cloths, curtains, and slip covers are included.If bleach won't ruin the fabrics, use it.If the smell is present in the kitchen, the contents of the boxes should be moved to plastic baggies.
Step 6: Lemon water can be made.
The water should be boiling on the stove.Take a lemon and slice it into several slices.Let the lemon slices sit in the boiling water for 10 minutes to refresh the house.Instead of lemon slices, steep a few hot cloves in the water.

An onion can be cut up.Put the onion slices in a bowl of water and place it in the middle of the kitchen.Bowls of onion water can be placed in different locations of the house if the smell is bad.The bowls should sit overnight to absorb odors.
Step 8: The bread should be soaked with some kind of liquid.
The smell can be absorbed by using bread and vinegar.Add 2 cups of vinegar to the saucepan.Bring the water to a boil, then let it sit for 15 minutes.Take some bread and put it in the water.Let the bread absorb the odors by putting it on a plate.If you want to absorb the odors, you can put out bowls of vinegar.Make it more effective by heating it.
Step 9: Water and baking soda should be combined.
Baking soda is a strong odor absorbent.Baking soda can be put into bowls to clear the smell.You can absorb the smell by distributing the bowls around your home.
Step 10: A fresh baking smell can be created.
The oven should be at 200F (93C).The foil should be placed on a cookie sheet.There is cinnamon and sugar on the cookie sheet.Allow the cookie sheet to sit in the oven for a few hours.This will make the house smell good.
Step 11: Lemon water can be sprayed.
Lemon juice and water should be put into a bottle.It's a good idea to spray it around your home.It will leave a lemon scent that is chemical-free.
Step 12: You can make an air freshener with essential oils.
Combine 34 cup of water and two ounces of vodka, rubbing alcohol, or real vanilla extract with 15-20 drops of any combination of essential oils that you enjoy smelling.Put these in a spray bottle.Shake well and spray.
Step 13: Use perfume oil to make an air freshener.
Combine 2 1/2 table spoons of brandy, 20 drops of any perfume oil of choice, 5drops of tea tree oil, and 34 cup of water.Put them in a spray bottle.Shake well and spray.
Step 14: Get some aerosols.
If you can tolerate them, spray a commercial air freshener.They can be overwhelming, so use them carefully.The homemade methods will not mask odors as well.
