It's hard to notice that the top you're wearing has bumps on the shoulder when you step out.If you want to prevent these from happening, fold your tops in half and hang the sleeves and sides over the top of the hanger.Hanging heavy knit garments will pull down the fabric and cause dimpling. It is easy to wet and dry the fabric if you get the bumps.
Step 1: The garment should be folded in half.
On a flat surface, lay your long-sleeved garment open. The sleeve and bottom corner of the garment should be on the other side. The sleeves and body of the garment are stacked here. The fabric needs to be smoothed out to make it less wrinkled.
Step 2: The fabric won't be affected by a hanger that makes bumps.
The smooth shoulder support rods are in a single line.If the support rods are straight and smooth, you can use wood, plastic, or wire. The support rods should be as long as the shoulder of your top.The grooves on the hangers make it difficult to catch the fabric. These are only used for tank tops or spaghetti-strap tops.
Step 3: The hook needs to be at the underarm.
The hook should extend away from the fabric of the garment. The horizontal bar at the bottom should form a diagonal line across the item. You need to be able to grasp the hook to fold the fabric.
Step 4: The sleeves should be folded over the support rod.
The cuffs should be near the middle of the folded garment if you keep the sleeves together. If you have a horizontal support bar, you don't need to weave the sleeves under it.
Step 5: The bottom of the garment's body should be folded over the other support rod.
The folded body of the item should be placed on the folded sleeves. You can lift the hook with the pentagon-shape garment. You can put the item in your closet.Hanging the garment in a pentagon-shape distributes the weight of the item so it doesn't pull on the shoulders.
Step 6: Hang sweaters that are heavy or bulky.
The weight of the sweater pulls the garment down, which creates shoulder bumps, if you've ever tried to hang a heavy knit sweater. You might find that the thick sweater takes up too much space in your closet if you try to fold it in half and drape it over the hanger.Store the garment in a drawer.
Step 7: Wet the marks with your fingers or cloth.
You can dip your fingers into the water or soak a small cloth in it.Rub the cloth or wet fingers on the shoulder bumps. If the fabric isn't damp, you should dip your fingers in more water. If it's more convenient for you, rub an ice cube over the bumps to slowly melt the fabric.
Step 8: Take the wet fabric and flatten it with your fingers.
Let the garment dry on a smooth surface. The fabric will relax as it dries. It takes about 10 minutes for the fabric to dry.
Step 9: If you can't remove the hanger marks, you should wash and dry the garment.
If there is nothing you can do to remove the marks, put the garment back in the washing machine.Lay the garment flat according to the care directions on the tag.Next, fold your garment to prevent future bumps.Spread a clean dry cloth on a flat surface to lay the garment flat to dry.Put the garment on the towel and let it dry.To completely dry the opposite side, turn it.
Step 10: You can use steam to make a garment.
If you have a little time before you need to put on the top, lay it on a flat surface in the bathroom and run a shower. You can smooth the bumps with your hand after the steam relaxes the fibers. If you have a clothing steamer, you could use it instead of showering.
Step 11: Put the garment in the dryer for a few minutes.
If you don't have time to wait for the top to dry, you can toss it in the dryer. It's best to run the dryer on a warm setting. The care instructions can be found on the garment label. It is possible to dry the item on low or gentle heat.
