If you live in a place that is legal to grow marijuana, you can grow more by planting clones.A few steps are needed to plant clones of marijuana plants.Provide a warm, moist environment with weak light to ensure that the clones thrive, and choose clean pots with new soil.
Step 1: For 3 to 5 days, Quarantine the clones.
If you got cloned plants from an outside source, be sure to keep them out of harms way. They should be placed in a separate room from the rest of the plants.During this time, inspect the plants for pests that could spread to other plants.Broad mites or russet mites can be seen in the leaves that are twisted, blisters, and wet.Bite marks on leaves are a sign of spider mites. There are yellow spots on the leaves. There are white spots, fuzzy patches, and powdery-looking leaves.
Step 2: Clones should be dipped in a foliar pest or fungal control product.
The same method can be used to treat both pests and fungi. You can get a foliar pest or fungal control product from a garden shop or marijuana supply store. You can fit the clones in if you put the liquid into a large container.Let it dry before planting, then dip each clone in the solution.Gloves will prevent you from getting the product on your hands. If your skin comes into contact with the liquid, wash it with warm water and soap. You need to keep your eyes away from you.
Step 3: Clean or replace pots with drainage holes.
The pots should have holes in them to keep the soil from getting wet. Before planting clones in used pots, you should use new pots or sterilize them. It's a good idea to spray or dip pots to remove any leftover plant material. Before using the pots, let them dry completely. It's best to transplant clones into small or medium-sized pots, rather than large ones, to ensure the soil isn't drained off and wasted during watering.
Step 4: New soil should have a pH of 6 and high nitrogen levels.
An organic soil has a wide range of ingredients.Nitrogen levels in the soil should be higher for clones than for flowering plants.Make sure the soil's pH is right around 6 for the best results. It is important to purchase new soil to make sure that the clones aren't contaminated with pests or fungus from other plants.
Step 5: Plants can be clones if the roots are 3 inches long.
It is best to wait until the roots are at least 3 inches long to reduce the risk of transplant shock.
Step 6: The pot should be filled with lightly-compacted soil.
Leave at least 1 inch of space between the soil and the top of the pot to allow the water to settle before being absorbed. If you want to lightly compact the soil, use the bottom of another pot, but don't compact it too much.
Step 7: Place the clone in a hole in the soil.
Don't force the plants into the ground.Use the end of a pencil to make a hole in the soil, then gently place the cutting inside of the hole. You can fill the hole with your hands. If your clones are going to be planted in rockwool, you should dig out a large space in the pot.Put the rockwool and clone inside the pot and cover it with soil.
Step 8: Immediately after planting the clones should be misted with water.
If you want to grow marijuana, use distilled water, as tap water can damage your plants.Water the soil until it runs through the drainage holes in the bottom of the pot as soon as you get the clones.Mist the leaves and stem of the plant with a spray bottle.
Step 9: 18 hours of weak light per day is provided.
Clones don't need strong, bright light.High-intensity discharge (HID) light bulbs can be used instead of compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs.Place the bulbs above the cloned plants. If you set the times on your lights, the clones will get 18 hours of light and 6hours of darkness in a 24 hour period.
Step 10: The temperature needs to be between 72 and 77 F.
Clones need a warm place to live. You can use a heating or cooling system in your grow room if necessary. It's important to keep the temperature consistent as temperature fluctuations can weaken plants.
Step 11: Keep the soil moist.
If your plants need water, check the soil every day.The soil should be moist. It is better to water the plants small amounts more frequently. You can use a spray bottle to keep the leaves moist.
Step 12: Cloned plants need little to no breeze.
Before planting clones, it is important to check your ventilation system.Cloned plants are weak and too much breeze will dry them out. There is little to no breeze in the area where cloned plants are located.
Step 13: The clones should be treated as adults after a few weeks.
The clones are considered adult marijuana plants after a few weeks. You can transplant the roots into larger pots if they grow to the bottom of the pot.Provide the same amount of light, fertilization, air circulation, and water as you would for other full-grown plants so they can mature and flower.
