Colored grout can be used to contrast tiles or provide a neutral backdrop.Taking measures to keep it vibrant and pleasing is what you will need to do regardless of the color of your grout.Regular and deep cleaning are included in keeping your colored grout clean.
Step 1: A steam cleaner can be used.
The steam cleaners use heat and high pressure. If your grout is old or damaged, you should not use a steam cleaner. If you want to get rid of dirt and debris, you need to heat the steam cleaner and then move the cleaning wand along the surface of the grout lines.
Step 2: A mild cleaning solution is what you should start with.
Mild solutions are less likely to damage your colored grout.Start with baking soda. You can use hydrogen peroxide if that doesn't do the job.Oxygen bleach can be used if your grout lines are dirty.Chlorine bleach should not be used. You should keep the bleach in the cupboard.Choose either hydrogen peroxide or oxygen bleach. You can use a solution of vinegar and water to clean your dishwasher or sink.Put an equal amount of water and water in a spray bottle. The solution should be sprayed on the lines. You can scrub the lines with your brush. If you don't have a toothbrush, you can use a grout brush.Baking soda and vinegar mix is a good alternative if it isn't working.Baking soda can be wet to make a thick paste. If you want to spray the paste on your grout, apply it to it first.Wait until the solution stops bubbling, then scrub the area with a brush.Dry with a rag.
Step 3: Oxygen bleach shouldn't be used a lot.
Oxygen bleach does a good job, but it will eventually wear down because of chlorine.Oxygen bleach does not produce fumes and requires very little scrubbing. Most home, hardware and cleaning supply stores have it.
Step 4: Remove surface debris.
Start by sweeping the floor.Remove dirt and debris from the surface of the grout by rinsing it off.
Step 5: Warm water is needed to mix the cleaning solution.
To mix your cleaning solution, follow the directions on the product.A small plastic bowl can be used to clean a counter. It is a good idea to mix it in your mop bucket.
Step 6: The cleaning solution can be used to flood the grout lines.
The lines on your counter or floor are slightly depressed.Let the cleaning solution sit for fifteen minutes after filling the depressions.
Step 7: The grout needs to be scrubbed.
After fifteen minutes, use your brush to scrub away the dirt.It should be easy to remove dirt with a gentle scrub since the cleaning solution will break down dirt.
Step 8: Place a cleaning solution on the floor.
Adding a cleaning solution to your mop water can help you clean a floor. The floor should be mopped with a liberal amount of cleaning solution.Allow it to sit for thirty minutes.Put fresh water in your mop bucket.Warm water and vinegar can be mixed.
Step 9: It is a good idea to apply a penetrating sealer to your colored grout.
Since it makes the grout more resistant to oil- and water-based products, a sealer is a must.If your grout is dirty, you could re- apply the color sealant that was used to color it.Depending on the amount of wear and tear and the type of sealant you choose, you will need to re- apply it every year or two.If you don't know if your grout is adequately sealed, apply some water to it.The water is sufficiently sealed if it stays on the surface of the grout. You need to reseal the grout if it absorbs water. If it is both hydrophobic and oleophobic, ask for it.Water-repelling and oil-based substances can be repelled by different sealers.
Step 10: Right away, wipe up spills.
Coffee or soda should be wiped up right away. The amount of work involved in cleaning the grout will be reduced.
Step 11: After showering, wipe the shower tiles down.
You can wipe down your shower tiles with a squeegee. There are lime, soap and rust deposits on your colored grout.
