You can learn how to turn off the lights on an echo dot.If the light is purple, yellow, red, or orange instead of green, you'll need to do a few more things.
Step 1: You can open the app on your phone or tablet.
If you don't have access to a phone or computer, you can say "Alexa, turn on Do Not Disturb."You can find the light-blue speech bubble with a white outline app icon on one of your Home screens, in the app drawer, or by searching.
Step 2: You can tap.
This can be found in either the upper left corner of your screen or the lower right corner.
Step 3: You can tap on the settings.
There is a gear icon near the bottom of the menu.
Step 4: You can tap the device settings.
This is at the top of the menu.
Step 5: To select your echo dot, tap.
If your echo dot is considered online or offline, it may affect your DND settings.Offline devices don't have the same settings as online ones.
Step 6: Do not interrupt.
Under the "General" heading, you'll find this.
Step 7: Go to the switch and turn it on.
All the lights will be turned off when DND is enabled, and you won't get any notifications from your echo dot.If you want to set a DND schedule, tap the switch to turn it on next to "Scheduled" and select the time range you're after.If you want to turn off DND, repeat this process.
Step 8: "Alexa, what notifications do I have?"
The light yellow and persistent could be caused by any and all notifications.Proceed to the next step if the yellow light does not clear after you ask.
Step 9: "Alexa, what messages do I have?"
If there are any outstanding messages, you will be read them byAlexa.Proceed to the next step if this doesn't clear the yellow light.
Step 10: You can open the app on your phone or tablet.

Step 11: Your notification settings should be updated.
Since the yellow light indicates an Amazon notification, you can change the settings in the app.If you want to stop all these notifications, go to and tap the toggle off.
Step 12: There is an orange light that can turn green or purple.
If you see an orange light, it means that your Dot is trying to connect to a wi-fi network, but you need to wait for the green light or purple light to come on.
Step 13: If your light is purple, manually connect to the internet.
Re-enter the password if you want to connect to your wi-fi again.If you don't get reconnected, you might need to check your router to make sure it's working.
Step 14: If the light is red, unmute your voice assistant.
mute is enabled if the light is red.Press the microphone button again to turn it off.
