Step 1: Know the basics.
The term "Quadrants" refers to the type of romance experienced by the troll species.Unlike us humans, they have different types of romantic experiences.Their romance can be seen as a giant square that is divided in half vertically and half horizontally.
Step 2: The Horizontal Division should be examined.
They are Redrom and Blackrom.The most important division between the quadrants is between Redrom and Blackrom.Similar to the human concept of love and friendship, Redrom is based on positive emotions.Black Romance is based off of negative emotions such as rivalry and competition.
Step 3: The Vertical Division should be examined.
It's called Concupiscent and Conciliatory.The concupiscent and conciliatory quadrants are in the second division.Concupiscent quadrants are the ones that are seen as more romantic and play a leading role in reproduction, whereas conciliatory ones focus on more platonic relationships that have other roles that you'll see later.
Step 4: The Flushed Quadrant is a good place to begin to understand it.
There is comradeship.The symbol of the heart is 3 and it is the redrom concupiscent romance known as Matespritship.The most similar to normal human romance, this quadrant is based on positive emotions and plays a role in reproduction.There are still differences between human love and a trollian flushed relationship.While the romantic feelings of humans tend to be based around admiration, sometimes idolising the person of their affection, matesprits usually pity their partner instead.sprits want to help each other
Step 5: Understand the Pale Quadrant.
It's oirilegiance.The redrom conciliatory romance known as moirailegiance is in the second quadrant.Being conciliatory is an easier viewpoint for humans on this romance.Some troll races are more violent than others.If a more tempermantal troll were to have a fit or go on a rampage, it would be their responsibility to make sure everyone else was okay.People in pale relationships want to make themselves better people by learning from each other's strengths and weaknesses.
Step 6: Understand the Caliginous Quadrant.
Kismesistude is the study of the mind.The blackrom concupiscent romance known as kismesistude is located in the third quadrant.Caliginous relationships are often thought of as being in a constant state of trying to kill each other.This is not true.The base for a kismesistude is similar to a rivary, trying to outdo and one up their partner.Many other factors and emotions play into the nature of a kismesistude, so leaving it at that is a major simplification.These are some of the things that are respect and admiration.A troll will dislike their kismesis and want to prove that they're better.They see that the receiver of their caliginous feelings could potentially be better than them, and they feel the urge to disprove that to everyone, but most importantly to themselves.Without a sense of competition, a kismesistude would fall apart quickly.
Step 7: Understand the Ashen Quadrant.
There is a suspicion of auspisticism.The blackrom conciliatory romance known as auspisticism is the final part of the foruth.It is the only form of romance that is not subject to universal rules of infidelity, meaning that any given person could be involved in any number of ashen relationships, and it is therefore the most difficult for humans to comprehend.Many bickerments and quarrels occur due to the violent nature of the troll race.Blackrom fidelity would be present if a caliginous relationship was born from each argument.There are a lot of auspistices here.Auspistice can step in and separate the two when two troll begin to show feelings for each other.They could do this for a number of reasons.Maybe both of them have a kismesis.It would be terrible for everyone around them.Maybe the auspistice has a crush on one of them.Their reason doesn't matter for our current intents and purposes.Two school children are arguing over a toy or a pencil.When a teacher, parent, or peer tries to break them up, they would say that they are acting suspiciously.
Step 8: Look back.
All four quadrants are shown.The part that is confusing is trangression.In troll society, partners switch between quadrants.If left unaddressed, it can result in chaotic infidelities, but if all goes well, transgressions can lead to beautiful emotional experiences.
Step 9: Comprehend Concupiscent Transgressions.
The concupiscent quadrants are where the more volatile and unpredictable emotions are found.Rarely do two parties have requited feelings for each other; usually one person will have a crush on the other.One party's feelings will usually match the other.Sometimes, their feeling will flip ack and forth, sometimes in harmony.If one of the parties has both a kismesis and a matesprit, it can result in infidelities until the other party flips.All involved parties will have both concupiscent quadrants filled and flipped in perfect unison.A Quadrangle is a rare and beautiful multi-person relationship.When person A and B's relationship is flushed, B and C and D and A will flip, and vice versa.A Quadrangle is a picture of a perfectly balanced romance in troll society, but it is also very delicate, as a single brief infidelity can ruin it.
Step 10: Redrom Transgressions are Comprehend.
There is a common transgression between the two redrom quadrants.Similar to the concupiscent transgression method, one party will have a flushed feeling while the other is pale.Two Moirails tend to have pale feelings at the beginning of the relationship.One rail may start to feel sad for the other.There are three ways in which this change of heart can end.The first possibility is that person A's flushed feelings go away for too long, so they go back to pale.A person learns about someone else's desire for a matespritship.The least common is when person B realises and returns the flushed feelings, resulting in a matespritship.Transgressions from pale to flushed are the same, only in reverse.
Step 11: Blackrom Transgressions were Comprehend.
The Kismesistude and Auspisticism transgressions are more common than the concupiscent transgressions.The kismesitude will wreak havoc if two people are in a relationship for a long time.This is the same as the previously explained ashen relationships, only the third party acted after the disastrous relationship became official.It is quite common for ashen relationships to trangress into caliginous as well.The other two presume to become kismesis if the party acting auspistice has little interest in the role or doesn't perform well enough.
