Similar to vacuum cleaners in size and shape, floor buffers are upright electrical cleaning devices. They clean and shine non-carpeted flooring.Hospitals, schools and businesses use high-speed floor buffers to quickly and effectively clean and polish large expanses of floor.High-speed buffers are able to polish so well because of their pads that can rotation as much as 2000 revolutions per minute. The heat created by the high speeds creates a bright shine.Heavy high-speed buffers can be hard to operate. These steps can be used to use a high-speed buffer.
Step 1: There are objects on the floor.
The chairs should be placed on top of the tables in the room.If possible, take everything out of the room and put it in a hallway or another room. Before buffing, large pieces of debris should be picked up.
Step 2: Make sure your scrub brush or polishing pad is clean.
There is a buffer pad that appears used.A dirty buffer pad can scratch the floor. There are missing portions of the pad fabric.
Step 3: To begin, move to a back corner of the room.
You need to locate the farthest corner from the entrance of the room to prevent yourself from stepping on the freshly buffing floor as you work.A buffing of the floor might cause some damage.Make sure your high-speed floor buffer cord is long enough to span the entire room and that there is a close electric outlet. If it's not, plan your buffing route around the location of the other outlets so that you don't have to walk over a portion of floor.
Step 4: The buffing solution or polishing cream should be applied on the floor.
Step 5: The buffer needs to be turned on.
Go to the "on" switch. There are other control buttons on the arm of the appliance. If you can't find the controls, you should consult the owner's manual. The setting for the dirt and floor should be chosen. Some high-speed floor buffers have different settings that allow you to choose differentrpms.
Step 6: Proceed slowly across the room.
From the right, move throughout the room.Work slowly.Change your direction and start buffing from the left to the right. As you buffer, overlap 1/3 of the row.You don't have to miss a spot.
Step 7: During buffing, look at the pad 1 to 2 times.
Check for large pieces of debris or excessively grimy pads. The pad needs to be replaced as needed.
