You can learn how to use Plex on an iPad.It's possible to stream media from one device to another.You need to install Plex on your computer to use it.You can stream all the media from your computer to any device, including your iPad.
Step 1: You can download it in a web browser.
If you use your preferred web browser, you will be able to download the Plex Media server on your computer.
Step 2: Click to download.
There is a yellow colored button on the left side of the page.The new option will be at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Click to download.
It is at the bottom of the page.You will be able to download the media server on your computer.Before you start the download, make sure the website has detected the correct operating system.
Step 4: Click the file to open it.
You can find your downloaded files in the "Download" folder.The download on Mac will be a ZIP file.The files will be in a new folder if you double-click the zip file.
Step 5: The media server needs to be installed.
To install the program on your computer, click on it.The Plex Media server app can be dragged into your Applications folder on Mac.
Step 6: The app can be used to open the Plex Media server.
You can launch the server on Windows after it's done installing.It will open the server in a browser.
Step 7: You can create an account with a sign in method.
You can use your email address to sign up for a Plex account.Make sure you use the same method on all devices.If you create a Plex account with your Google account, make sure you sign in to it on your phone or iPad.
Step 8: Select the option.
You can either pay a small fee or subscribe to the Plex Pass for additional benefits.Click "Skip For Now" if you want to continue in the trial mode.There will be a watermark over images while the program is in trial mode.
Step 9: The library is in the middle of the dashboard page.
This opens a menu.
Step 10: You can choose a media type.
Pick from movies, tv shows, music, photos, or other videos.
Step 11: Click on the folder you want to add.
There is a column to the left of the "Edit" menu.
Step 12: Click on the folder you want to browse.
Below is the list of folders in your library.This will open a box that will allow you to look at files on your computer.The server will try to add and remove files.
Step 13: Go to the folder that contains your media.
There is a folder with media.Go to a folder containing videos if you want to add them to your movie library.The same thing should be done for Music, and Photos.
Step 14: Click on the Add button.
The browse box has an orange button at the bottom.As you like, add as many as you want.
Step 15: Go to the App Store.
The blue app has a white "A" on it.You can download and install new apps here.
Step 16: The Search tab has a tap on it.
It is in the lower-right corner next to an icon.
Step 17: You can type plex into the search box.
To type plex on the on-screen keyboard, tap the gray search bar at the top.To perform a search, tap the key.
Step 18: Next to Plex, tap get.
The app has a black icon with a yellow one pointing to the right.
Step 19: You can enter your Touch ID.
When prompted, use your Touch ID or device password to download and install the app.To start the installation, tap "Install" if you don't have security on your phone.
Step 20: Open the tap.
Once the app is installed, this will appear.This will open the app.
Step 21: Log in with a sign in method.
If you already have a Plex account, choose which method you used to create it.You can either view the introduction or the main page if you've never used Plex before.
Step 22: The device menu is in the top- left.
It is located in the upper left corner and has your name on it.
Step 23: Go to the device you want to stream from.
If you want to view videos on your computer, you need to tap on the computer's name or the name you gave to the server.
Step 24: Search by tap.
There is a second tab at the bottom.
Step 25: Go to a category.
You can choose what you want to watch.
Step 26: Search again.
You can browse the files in your media library with this.
