All of your accounts, sales, debts, and everything related to running your business can be tracked and managed with the help of the accounting program.You can try out the software for free, since it's mostly used in India.You can track all of your expenses with just a few clicks.
Step 1: You need to install the software.
The software can be purchased from the website.If you're not sure if you want to use it yet, you can download a 30-day trial version.It is only for Windows.In Educational Mode, you can learn how to use the software without having to buy a license.Some features are not available in this mode.
Step 2: You can navigate it.
The keyboard is used to navigate.You can click any option you want, but it has a keyboard shortcut.Next to each option, the key is displayed.You can increase your efficiency by learning how to use the keyboard.
Step 3: You can create a company.
You will need to create a company in the program in order to use it.You still need to create a company even if you aren't using a professional program.Go to the opening menu and select "create company".The Company Creation screen will allow you to enter your company details.You can enter your company name on your banking records.To ensure that a copy of all your work is saved in case something happens to the original, you must enter your company address, statutory compliance, telephone number, and email.You can choose your currency."Accounts info" can be found in the maintain menu if you want to just manage your accounts.Pick "Accounts with inventory" if you are using inventory management as well.The start of your financial year and the start date for the books can be entered.
Step 4: Understand the purpose of the ledgers.
The ledgers record all of the transactions.You will need to create a ledger for each account that you do business with.The two ledgers are "Cash" and "Profit and Loss Account".It's possible to create as many other ledgers as you need.Sundry Creditors or Branch/Divisions must be listed when creating accounts for other parties under Sales or Purchase.They relate to the party in the group.A party that you sell more to than you buy from is a Sundry Debtors account.
Step 5: You can open the create ledger window.
"Accounts info" can be found on the Gateway menu.You can choose the "Ledgers" option.You can either create a single ledger or multiple ledgers.
Step 6: Pick the group.
The first thing you need to do when creating a ledger is to assign it to a group.The selection of the right group will affect how sales are totaled later.There is a list on the right side of the screen.
Step 7: The ledger should have a name.
You can enter a name for your ledger.This will let you know what is in the ledger without having to open it.
Step 8: You can enter an opening balance.
The balance that the ledger is starting with is what you need to indicate when creating a ledger.This is the amount currently in your bank account, if you are creating a ledger for it.The starting balance is the amount of money you owe to the contractor.
Step 9: Understand the purpose of vouchers.
The details of a financial transaction can be found in a voucher.Vouchers can be used for all aspects of a business.Several of the most popular vouchers are pre-configured by Tally.
Step 10: The Vouchers page is open.
You can select "Accounting Vouchers" from the Gateway menu.
Step 11: You can choose to make a voucher.
You can find a list of available vouchers on the right menu.Pick the one that is best for you.When money is deposited or withdrawn for the bank, or transferred between two accounts in the same company, there is aContra Voucher.The voucher is for payments made by the business.The voucher is used for any income made by the company.Transactions that don't relate to sales, purchases, cash, or other income are called a Journal Voucher.It's used for opening and closing balances.The voucher is for all sales made by the company.Purchase Voucher is used for the purchase of assets.
Step 12: The required information must be entered.
Depending on the type of voucher you want to create, the information needed to complete the voucher will vary.You will need to determine which ledger the voucher will be attached to, as well as enter the date and names of any involved parties.The totals will be calculated based on the quantity you choose.
