Step 9: You can join a congressional action team.
The 14 congressional action teams in the United States are made up of volunteers who are trained and supported by the U.S. Fund for UNICEF staff.Team members meet monthly for a national conference call where they discuss issues and prepare to take action.It is possible to visit or write to elected officials.You can join by sending an email to volunteer@unicefusa.org.No experience is required to join the congressional action team.
Step 10: You can sign and distribute petitions.

Step 12: Plan an event.
Brainstorm ideas for raising money for a good cause.Contact friends, family, and colleagues for leads on any venues you might be able to borrow or rent for a small fee to host your event, or look for local sponsors for your fundraiser.You can find volunteer highlights and stories on the U.S Funds for UNICEF website.
Step 13: You should submit an application.
You can organize an event as you please, but you have to submit a proposal to the organization first.An application form is available on the website, and requires you to have many details of the events planned out ahead of time.The application asks for the host's name, the location of the event, and the number of people expected to attend the amount of funds you anticipate raising.
Step 14: It's time to advertise your event.
In addition to traditional printed invitations, banners, and flyers, you can use social media to advertise your event.You will be able to use the UNICEF logo for your event and advertising once your application is approved.You will need to submit copies of the documents to the organization before you distribute them.
