How To Wash White Air Force Ones

One of the most famous sneakers of all time is the White Air Force Ones. They can work well with any outfit. They are prone to getting dirty and any stains or scuff marks will be noticeable against the strong white background.Always wash the shoelaces separately when cleaning your sneakers.Spot-cleaning your shoes is important to keep them clean and prevent dirt from building up over time.

Step 1: Put newspaper or shoe trees inside your sneakers after removing your shoelaces.

Remove the laces from your shoes and set them aside for cleaning. To maintain the shape of your sneakers, slide shoe trees inside.Take the insides of your sneakers with you if you don't have shoe trees.A shoe tree has a handle on it.They keep the rubber, plastic, and fabric from wrinkling when you don't wear your shoes.

Step 2: Put 2–3 cups of sneaker cleaner or soapy water in a bowl.

Pick up a sneaker cleaning solution from a shoe store. The cleaner should be put into a small bowl.If you don't have a cleaning solution, you can make your own by mixing 2 cups of water with a small amount of dish soap or laundry detergent.Air Force Ones are made from a variety of materials.Any all-purpose shoe cleaner should be used. It's possible that the cleaners designed for suede shoes won't work.

Step 3: You can wash your shoelaces while you work.

The easiest way to clean shoelaces is to let them soak in the cleaning solution while you clean the rest of the shoes.Drop the shoelaces into the bowl and let them soak while you finish the rest of the steps.

Step 4: You can scrub your shoes by dipping a brush in the cleaning solution.

Rub the brush into the leather of your shoe.A lot of sweat builds up in the lining of the shoe when you drag the bristles around it.You don't need to scrub very hard to get the cleaning solution into the leather.Lift up all the dirt on your sneakers by covering each area of your shoes. If you want to keep your hands clean while you use the cleaning solution, you can wear gloves. You don't need to push the brush deep into the insole to scrub the inside fabric of the heel.Lift the tongue with your nondominant hand and use quick motions to scrub the leather without wearing it down.

Step 5: If you still see dirt on the shoes, you should use a hard-bristled brush.

You should grab a hard-bristled brush if your shoes are dirty. You can wash your shoes a second time.To get the cleaner into the leather, rubber, and textile lining, run the bristles over the entire shoe.Continue scrubbing until you have covered all the sneakers. If you prefer, you can use a Magic Eraser.

Step 6: You can clean tougher marks with a microfiber towel.

Wrap the towel around your finger and use the cleaning solution to wash it.Rub the marks with a towel. When the stain comes up, Rub the mark repeatedly. It can take up to 3-4 minutes to remove a stain from a shoe.If it is a stain or a scuff mark, this will work. You can't remove the mark if the shoe is torn and the leather is exposed.

Step 7: Let your sneakers air dry after wiping the soap off with a wet towel.

Rub your shoes with a microfiber cloth that has been submerged in warm water to remove soap.Rub the towel on the soles. To remove soap from the inner lining, blot the area with your cloth.Allow the air to dry in a shaded area for 24 hours. To get your shoes out of the window, place them next to a fan or open window. You can leave them outside, but not in the sun.The shoe trees should be left in your shoes.

Step 8: Put your shoes in a bag.

Put shoe trees in the shoes.A laundry bag is designed for delicate clothing.Put your shoelaces in a separate bag.The trees will keep the shoes from wrinkling. It is a small price to pay for a perfectly clean shoe.

Step 9: You can wash your shoes with old white clothing by setting the machine to a delicate cycle.

Put your shoes in the washing machine with a load of old white towels. The washing machine has a lid.The dial should be turned to "low power" or "delicate" if you want the machine to run.If your shoes get banged around in the machine, you should wash them with other laundry.Older, worn-down towels or rags are better since newer clothing may absorb some of the dirt from your shoes if they are dirty. To wash your sneakers, use regular laundry detergent. If you are washing a large load, you can use more detergent than a third of a capful.

Step 10: Leave your sneakers in aventilated area for 24 hours.

The Air Force Ones will be wet at the end of the wash cycle.Put your sneakers down on a clean cloth near an open window or fan after taking the shoe trees out.If there is shade for your shoes, you can leave them outside. To give the shoes time to air out, wait at least 24 hours. If you leave your shoes in a humid environment they may get mold.Don't put your shoes in the dryer.Your shoes will shrink because of the heat. The leather on your shoes will shrink as the sun bakes them.If you leave them outside, put them under a canopy or overhang to keep them out of the sun.

Step 11: White, non-gel toothpaste and water can be used to remove stains.

Take a small amount of toothpaste over the stain.Rub the toothpaste into the fabric of your shoes with your index finger. You can get a clean toothbrush wet by holding it under a stream of water.Remove the stain with your toothbrush. The leather should be washed using a damp cloth or towel. It works on canvas sneakers and foam rubber soles.Baking soda can be found in any white toothpaste. If it is a gel toothpaste, it may leave a mark on your shoes.

Step 12: Baking soda will deodorize your insoles.

It's a good idea to get a big storage bin for your shoes.Put them in your box with the tongue raised as high as possible.Put a cup of baking soda between your shoes by filling a glass or bowl with it.Wait 24 hours after closing the box or bin.The baking soda will make your shoes smell better. If the smell is bad, fill the inside of your shoes with baking soda. After 24 hours, wash your shoes in the washing machine.

Step 13: The Magic Eraser and water can be used to remove marks.

A Magic Eraser is a sponge.Rub the mark or dirt on the Magic Eraser with a little bit of water. If the shoe is stained, add a squirt of dish soap to the water and rub the mark, stain, or dirt to remove it.At any big box or cleaning supply store you can pick up a Magic Eraser. They are marketed as a way to remove marks from the wallboard.

Step 14: You can dye your laces white by soaking them in bleach and detergent.

If your shoelaces are still dirty after washing, you can fill a plastic or glass bowl with chlorine bleach.Put liquid laundry detergent in the rest of the bowl.Put the solution together with a spoon or mixing stick and submerge your laces.Allow them to soak for at least an hour before removing them.If you use a spoon to mix bleach and laundry detergent, wash it thoroughly before putting it back in your drawer. This will change the color of your laces.Unless your laces are filthy, you don't need to do this.

Step 15: To remove paint or gum from the rubber sole, use lighter fluid.

To remove paint or gum, use a toothpick.Pick up a clean towel with a pair of rubber gloves.Put a small amount of lighter fluid on the towel and scrub the remaining gum or paint with it.Once the gum or paint is gone, rinse the rubber under a steady stream of cold water and let your shoes air dry.
