Windows 10 tools can be used to remove data from a hard drive.
Step 1: There is a power supply for your computer.
If you are using a laptop, make sure you have enough battery power.
Step 2: Click the button.
It is at the bottom left corner of the screen.If you want to uninstall all of your data from the PC, you can use this method.
Step 3: Click on the settings you want to modify.
It is near the bottom of the menu.
Step 4: You can click on security and updates.
There is an icon with two curved arrows.
Step 5: Click recovery.
The left column has it.
Step 6: Under "Reset this PC", click Get started.
It is the first button in the main panel.
Step 7: Click on the factory settings that you want to restore.
The contents of the hard drive will be erased and the factory version of Windows reinstalled.
Step 8: If you want to clean the drive, click Remove files.
This format will make it harder for someone to recover deleted data.
Step 9: Click reset.
After you format your hard drive, Windows will be reinstalled.The process may take several hours.
Step 10: Click on the button.
It is at the bottom left corner of the screen.If you want to wipe the data off of a different hard drive than the primary one, you can use this method.
Step 11: Click to open the file.
It is near the bottom of the menu.This opens the file browser on your computer.
Step 12: Click here to go to the PC.
It is in the left column.There is a list of folders and hard drives on the PC.
Step 13: Click the drive you want to format.
Step 14: Click on the format.
Step 15: If you want to quick format, choose it.
You can save time by checking the box next to Quick Format, but this option makes it easier for someone to restore your deleted data with the right software.
