You can learn how to add a Facebook "Like" button to your website.After building the button in the Like Button Configurator, you just need to copy and paste two bits of code into your dashboard to make one quick edit for compatibility.
Step 1: Go todevelopers. Facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button
You can use any modern browser.
Step 2: Click to Like Button Configurator.
There is a third section on the page.
Step 3: You can enter your address into theURL to Like box.
Step 4: The width box is where you'll enter your desired width.
The default width is 450 px, so most users can leave this box blank.This is not the width of the Like button.
Step 5: From the menu, choose a button style.
You will see a preview of each style when it is selected.
Step 6: You can choose an action from the menu.
When someone clicks the button, their Facebook followers will see "Recommends this."
Step 7: You can choose from the Button Size menu.
You can see what each size looks like with the button preview.
Step 8: If you don't want to include the share button, check the box.
The button that says "share" will appear next to the Like button if the box is checked.If someone clicks this button, they will be able to enter their own text before sharing the link with their friends.
Step 9: Click to get the code.
You have to paste the code into different areas of the website.
Step 10: Click here to sign in.
You will need to copy and paste the code from Facebook to Blogger if you use another tab or browser window.
Step 11: Click on a template.
There is a menu on the left side of the screen.
Step 12: Go back to your template.
You should always make a backup when editing your website.The button is at the top right corner of the page.Click.You can enter a name for your file.Click to backup the template.
Step 13: Click on the text you want to modify.
It is beneath the preview image.
Step 14: The code is in the first box of the Facebook Like Button Configurator.
You can copy the text by highlighting it, then pressing Command+C.
Step 15: You can paste the code into your code.
The code should be pasted after the line that begins with body.Click before the first character of the line after the body tag to give yourself a place to paste code.Click the blank line, then press Control+V to paste.
Step 16: The pasted code should be replaced with "&"
The quotation marks should not be included.For example, if you want to connect. Facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1version, you should use "v8".
Step 17: Click on the template you want to save.
You will see an error that says "Error Parsing XML" if you skip an "&"Go back to the code and replace it with something else.
Step 18: There are two boxes of code from the Like Button Configurator.
You will have to go back to your other browser window or tab to find it.You can copy the text by highlighting it, then pressing Command+C.
Step 19: You can click on the layout again in Blogger.
It is on the left side of the dashboard.
Step 20: If you want the button to appear, click the Add a Gadget button.
Most of the time, you want the button to appear in a footer.
Step 21: Select the language that you want to use.
You will have to scroll down to find it.
Step 22: You can type under the title.

Step 23: You can paste the copied code into the "Content" box.
You can do this by clicking into the box and pressing Command+V.
Step 24: Click it to save.
Click preview at the top right corner of the page to make sure the button is where you want it.You can drag the Facebook box to one of the other sections if you don't like the location.
Step 25: Click to save the arrangement.
It is at the top right corner of the screen.When someone likes your post, they can easily share it with their friends on Facebook.
