The depth of the syrup should not be greater than 1 1/2 inches.
Step 8: Allow to set.
It needs to be cool to handle.

Use the implement and your fingers to move it back and forth.
Step 10: All of the fondant should be kneaded.
The aim is for it to be white.It should be smooth.
Step 11: The coating needs to be cured.
After the fondant is smooth and white, place a clean cloth or tea towel over it.Sit under the cloth for an hour.The minimum time it can remain is 1 hour.
Step 12: After the hour is over, Knead again.
Step 13: Place the wax paper on the plate or baking sheet.
This will be the resting place for the almonds.If you make a lot of almonds, you'll need more than one plate or baking sheet.
Step 14: In a saucepan, melt the fondant.
Step 15: One by one, dip the blanched almonds.
Pick them up with a fork.As you bring up each almond, gently tap against the side of the pan to wipe off any excess fondant.
Step 16: Place almond on wax paper.
Leave for 5 minutes, then apply a coat of paint on the other side.
Step 17: Done.
