Did your friend post something funny on Facebook, and you want to share it with your friends?You can quickly repost things that others have posted on Facebook.When you use the "share" feature on a friend's post, you will be making a new post without any of the likes and comments.If you want to preserve the likes and comments on a post, liking it or commenting on it yourself will push it to the top of your friends' feeds.
Step 1: You can find the content that you want to add to your feed.
If you want to maintain a post's Likes and comments, you'll need to comment on it.Someone's post or picture can be commented on.This method can be used to repost an old post made by you or a friend.Find the original post and then read on.This is the only way to get a post to the top of people's feeds without losing the Likes and comments.If you use the "share" feature on a post, it will make a new post and remove the likes and comments.
Step 2: You can make a comment on the post or picture.
It will show up on your friends' feeds if you send it to the top of your feed.For old posts that you want to bring back to the top, you can do this.The old post is less likely to be sent back to the top if you Like it.
Step 3: Don't use the Share button if you want to keep comments and Likes.
You can make a new post with the same content on your own feed.You will control the post, even though it won't keep the original comments.
Step 4: You can find what you want to re-post.
You can re-post anything that is posted by someone else.You can find the status, picture, link, or any other post that you want to share with others by scrolling through your feed.You can't repost posts from secret groups.The original post's Likes and comments will not be preserved.If you want to keep the Likes and comments, you need to reply to the original post with a new one.
Step 5: You can click the Share link.
Above the Likes and comments is where this is located.
Step 6: You can choose where you want to put the item.
A new window will appear when you click the Share link.To repost an item, use the drop-down menu at the top of the new window.You have the option to share to your own timeline, a friend's timeline or in a private message.If you choose to share on a friend's timeline, you will be asked to enter the name of the friend.You will be asked to enter the group's name if you choose to share.You will be asked to enter recipients if you share through a private message.
Step 7: There is a new message.
You can add a new message to the item when you repost something.There will be a message on the top of the reposted item.The person's name can be tagged by typing "@" followed by their name.
Step 8: The original poster can be attribute.
When a post is shared, it will display who posted it.Clicking the Remove link next to the original poster's name will remove this message.
Step 9: You can choose your privacy options.
The drop-down menu at the bottom of the window allows you to choose which of your friends can see your repost.You can choose to be public, visible to your friends, or visible only to you.
Step 10: Share the post with your friends.
You can repost the post by clicking the Share button once you're happy with your sharing options.The post will appear in a message or timeline.Depending on the privacy settings of the original post, you may not be able to share it with everyone.
