There are many things you can do to improve the sound of your voice.A variety of different exercises can be used to improve the sound of your voice, alter your speaking voice to make it more impressive, or adjust the way you sing to hit more powerful notes.If you exercise your voice on a regular basis and make small changes to it, you may see a big improvement in it.
Step 1: Do you have a current speaking voice?
Asking a friend to listen and evaluate your speaking voice is a good way to record yourself speaking.Determine the main areas where you need improvement by assessing your vocal quality and volume.Is your volume high or low?Do you have a full, monotonous or varied pitch?Is your vocal quality lifeless or enthusiastic?Do you have a crisp and articulated way of saying something?Do you speak fast or slow?Are you deliberate or hesitant?
Step 2: You can change the volume of your voice.
Everyone in the room can hear you if you speak loudly.Changing the volume of your voice can make your speech more intimate.As you make an important point, get louder.When you are making an aside, lower your voice.
Step 3: The pitch can be used to your advantage.
If your voice sounds boring, people might stop listening.It is more likely that they will listen to you if you vary your pitch.Continue to vary your pitch.A common way to use pitch is to end questions on a higher pitch.Affirming a statement by ending on a lower pitch.
Step 4: Change your pace.
The pace of your speech is called the tempo.You can place more emphasis on certain words and phrases by slowing the pace of your speech.It could make it easier for people to understand you if you speak quickly.Pause after making an important point to give the person a chance to absorb it.
Step 5: When appropriate, show your emotions.
Have you ever heard someone cry during a speech?This is an effective technique when you are giving a speech or acting in a play.Allow the timber, or emotional quality of your voice, to show when you are expressing strong feelings.If you are saying something that makes you sad, you might be able to let your voice go quiet.Don't try to force it.
Step 6: You should practice your speech.
If you want to give a speech in front of an audience, practice it alone.There are variations in tone, pace, volume and pitch.Listen for what isn't working and record it.The speech can be practiced several times.You can record each attempt and compare them.People are not comfortable hearing themselves on tape.The voice you hear in your head is different than the voice other people hear.
Step 7: Drink a lot of water.
It is important to keep your vocal cords lubricated when you are speaking for long periods of time.Coffee, soda and alcohol can cause dehydration.Do not drink water.Adding honey or apple cider vinegar to your water will help clear up your throat.
Step 8: You can open your jaw for vowels.
Put your ring and index fingers on either side of your face.Take your jaw out two inches.Hold your jaw in place and sing the vowels A, E, I, O, U.Put a cork or plastic bottle cap between your back teeth to hold your jaw in place.Continue this exercise until you don't need to hold your jaw in place.
Step 9: Keep your chin down.
As your voice increases, you may be tempted to raise your chin to get more power.Lifting your chin can help strengthen you voice for a moment, but it can also have a negative effect on your voice over time.Try to tilt your chin down while you sing.Try singing scales in front of a mirror.As the scales move up in range, tilt your chin slightly down and focus on keeping it down.Keeping your chin down reduces strain on your voice and gives you more control.
Step 10: It's a good idea to add vibrato into your singing.
Sometimes it is difficult to achieve the sound of vibrato.You can learn to sing in a vibrato voice by practicing.Lift your chest up by pressing your hands to it.Without moving your chest, breathe in and exhale.Sing a single note as you exhale.The note should be held for as long as possible.Press on your chest and imagine the air in your mouth as you sing the note.
Step 11: You can find your range.
You can find your range by singing along with the keys on the keyboard.On a keyboard, play middle C.There are two black notes in the middle of the keyboard.You can match the tone in your voice by singing "la" as you play each key to the left.Continue as far down the keyboard as you can, comfortably matching the notes until you feel tired or unable to reach the note.Write down the key you end on.The bottom of your range is here.The top of your range is marked by a note on the keyboard.
Step 12: You can add one note to your range.
If you can add one note on either end, you will be able to match your vocal range.You may not be able to hold the note at first, but focus on hitting it 8 to 10 times each practice until you are comfortable reaching the new notes in your range.You can add the next higher and lower notes to your range once you can sustain the new note for a long time.Don't rush the process.Control the sound and hit the note at the same time.
Step 13: You should project your voice.
Stage actors need to speak loudly and clearly.Make sure that you are speaking loudly enough so that people can hear what you're saying at the back of the theater.It is important to project rather than yell.You may lose your voice if you yell.If you want to practice breathing out and saying "ha" at the same time, you have to take a deep breath.This will help you identify your body part.If you can feel the breath coming from your abdomen and out through your mouth, you should be able to speak your lines.
Step 14: Speak your lines.
It's important to speak your lines clearly for a good acting voice.If you want people to understand what you're saying, you need to enunciate each word of your lines.If you want to speak clearly, open your mouth as wide as you can.You can use this to enunciate your lines.
Step 15: Emotions can be used to emphasize your lines.
Emoting is an important part of delivering your lines.Think about what your character's emotions should look like.If you say something that makes the character feel sad, you might slow down the pace of your lines.You can register the sadness in your voice by speaking with a bit of a trembling voice.To determine how your voice should sound when you speak, consider the emotion of your character.
Step 16: You can practice breathing into your body.
Actors and singers use their diantum when they speak and sing.The area where your ribs meet is just underneath your diaphragm.The power of your voice will be increased by breathing into your diaphragm and using this breath.It will reduce strain on your vocal cords if you breathe into your diaphragm instead of your chest.Take a breath into your abdomen.As you breathe in, your abdomen should expand.Release the breath slowly with a hissing sound.As you breathe, try to keep your shoulders and neck relaxed.As you breathe in, you can place your hands on your abdomen.You are breathing into your abdomen if your hands rise when you take a breath.
Step 17: Release your jaw.
A clearer voice can be achieved by taking tension out of your jaw, which will allow you to open your mouth wider.If you want to remove the tension from your jaw, push on your cheeks with the heel of your hands.Start by massaging your jaw muscles with your hands.As you draw your hands downward, gently open your mouth.
Step 18: You can practice your vocal range by breathing through a straw.
It is possible to improve your voice by practicing your vocal range.If you want to practice your vocal range, place a straw between your lips.Slowly increase the pitch of the sound.Go from the bottom to the top of your vocal range.Your vocal cords are being pressed down by the air that doesn't fit through the straw.Swelling around the vocal cords can be reduced with this exercise.
Step 19: Don't speak on your lips.
If you want to exercise your voice and give it a clearer sound, trilling your lips is a good way to do it.While making the "uh" sound, blow air through your lips.The air that is released will vibrate your lips.The air in your mouth will cause your vocal cords to come together.
Step 20: It's a pity.
Humming is a great way to warm up your voice and cool it down after a long performance.Relax your jaw and close your lips.Take a deep breath and let it go on a hum.Move the hum down through the lower part of your register after making a nasal "mmm."The vibrations in your teeth and facial bones are activated by this exercise.
Step 21: Stretch your tongue.
Stage actors use stretching their tongue to make it easier to articulate their words.You can stretch your tongue by sticking it out of your mouth.Press it against the other cheek.Put the tip of your tongue behind your bottom lip, then put it back on your palate.In a row, repeat these exercises 10 times.
Step 22: Speak better with tongue twisters.
It gives you practice enunciation when you say tongue twisters.The muscles in your lips, face, and tongue can benefit your voice.As you say the tongue twisters, make sure to exaggerate the sounds of your words.Start slowly and speed up as you go.Pick a peck of piquant peppers and then say, "You know New York."You need New York.Give your tongue a workout by repeating, "Red leather, yellow leather" over and over.
Step 23: Say "Hooty Gees" to ease the tension in your voice.
It is possible to improve the quality of your singing voice by saying "hooty gees".Say the word "gees" like Yogi Bear.You can feel the drop in your larynx.You might find it easier to hit a higher note after doing this exercise because you have more control over your vocal cords.This exercise can be repeated a few times.
Step 24: It's important to balance your vocal resonance.
You can practice singing with your mouth in different positions by making these vowels.To give your voice a good workout, start with one sound and then transition all the way through the ooh, oh, uh, and ah sounds.Doing this will make it easier for you to hit a higher note.You should repeat this exercise a few times a day.
Step 25: It's a good idea to exercise your voice twice a day.
If you want to improve your voice for speaking and singing, you need to work on it on a regular basis.Warm your voice and practice vocal exercises twice a day for the best results.When you wake up, try to set aside 15 minutes to do vocal exercises.They should be done before you go to bed, such as when you are making dinner or taking a bath.
