I have a Coleman furnace that won't stay lit, it has a code aboutignition failure.
It is recommended that your Coleman furnace be professionally inspected and serviced every other year. The inspection shows wear and tear, such as rust, frayed wires and leaks.Every part of your furnace will be inspected by a professional. The furnace needs to be inspected at least every 90 days.Refer to reference 1 and reference 2 for "Periodic Inspection".
On November 15, 2004, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and the Unitary Products Group (UPG) of York International Corp. issued a recall of furnaces.Between 1995 and 2000 you should stop using the heating function.UPG is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 5.Referred to as reference 3.
With natural or propane gas, your Coleman furnace blower's electric fan draws cool air in, heats the air, and then propels the warm air through ducts to distribute heat throughout your home.As cooler air, the air returns to the furnace. The furnace burner looks like a row of tubes with the correct amount of air and fuel mix in it.You can protect your Coleman furnace from overheating by turning off the power to the ignition and the high temperature limit switches. The Coleman furnace switch needs to be reset.Referred to 4 #3 and 5.
There is a manual reset switch on the left side of the furnace blower. There is a lower limit switch for automatic reset on your Coleman furnace.
