Idaho Fish and Game5 No-Draw, Bargain Whitetail Hunts you can do this year, is one of the Best Whitetail States for 2015.
Each year, D&E offers limited number of Nebraska Whitetail deer hunters. We focus on repeat hunters. We offer several hunts, and will tailor them to meet a hunter's hunting needs. We like to speak with each hunter individually in order to plan the proper hunt.
I would like to thank the Nebraska Game and Parks for their hard work and dedication in making Nebraska hunting family friendly.Well done!
4-day "Rut" Guided Whitetail Deer Rifle Hunt is the price.
There are 5 days between Oct 20 and Nov 7 for the Nebraska Whitetail Deer hunt.
Tipping is a good way to say thank you to those who made your trip enjoyable. The industry standard for a hunting tip is less than 20%.Non-hunters are welcome to come with their friends or family members for a $400 fee per individual, with a maximum of 1 per paid hunter. One guide per 3 hunters is provided for guided Nebraska deer hunts. The guide is freed up to spend more time with remaining hunters as deer hunters fill their tags.Pictures are taken after an animal has been killed. We will bring you and your deer to a mandatory Nebraska Game and Parks checking station, dress them, and then transport them to be processed (clients are responsible for this fee).In a fully guided deer hunt, lodging, meals, field transportation and field care are included.
Not included: licenses, permits, meat processing, taxidermy, any shipping cost and cost accrued getting to and from point of hunting location. Some tree stands will be strategically set-up when you arrive.
Field transportation, lodging, meals, license, permits, meat processing, and any shipping cost are not included.
The goal is to harvest mature trophy whitetail deer in the 120"-170" range.Good food sources, genetics, predator control, and harvesting only mature trophy deer are all included in the fine.We doe hunt as needed.
Areas we hunt, the specific unit permit, can be used for either a Whitetail or Mule deer.Only Whitetail can get the state wide permit. These tags are reasonable when compared to other states. They all can be purchased over the counter.
Permits are non-refundable.When it's time to purchase your permit, don't call.
In Nebraska, lodging and meals will be on your own.You will have your own lunch and drinks the night before. There are many grocery stores in the area.Hunts that include lodging and meals are available in Stuart Nebraska. When ready, the meals are home-made in a buffet style.Breakfasts include dry cereals, instant oatmeal, pastries, toast, and fruit. You will pack your own lunch of cold-cut sandwiches the night before.Along with sandwiches there will be fruit, chips, crackers, water, and soda. There are a lot of choices. You are welcome to leave any left-overs in the fridge at any time. You are used to packing a heartier lunch. The fresh air of Nebraska increases the appetite and we have found that our Nebraska Dinner meals consist of salad, casserole dishes, meat dishes or crock-pot meals, vegetables, rolls and dessert.Home-made meals are very delicious. Please let us know if you have any meal concerns or special needs before you book your hunt. You are more than welcome to bring your own snacks or soft drinks for the hunt.
A problem a deer hunter faces is how to get the meat, cap and antlers home after a hunting trip.Below is a list of what we have learned and know.
The deer check-in requirements are completed. There is a water source on some of the farms and ranches where we hunt the deer.Ask if this is an option where you will be hunting.
Some hunters put a freezer in the back of their truck or utility trailer which can be plugged in or run with a generator.
Duct tape the coolers shut after you get to the airport in case they need to open and pack as tightly as possible with frozen solid meat.
To hold the lid tightly shut, use duct tape.Even when the truck is on rough roads, this keeps out air.
If you fly, the meat can be checked as excess baggage.Dry ice is not allowed on airplanes.
We have a local meat processor that will try to get your deer packaged and frozen in time for you to leave for home.
We have had hunters use all of the above. This work should be done with items that are still fresh. The main airport is where they need to be shipped out.We are far away from major airports and interstates so everything is Ground shipment first, then overnight so "overnight" actually turns into 2 days.If shipping nonperishable, time isn't a factor. The award winning local taxidermist is available to mount or expedite your trophy. They know a lot about all the species we hunt. This is an efficient way to handle your needs. They will often do a better job than someone who has not seen many animals from our area.Tall Tails Taxidermy studio is located in Burton, NE.They are a small Full-Time Taxidermy studio that provides high quality taxidermy within a reasonable time period. They do everything they can to meet your expectations.Ann and Aimee are very methodical and driven and never settle for second best or just good enough.I would trust them with my trophy. They use a Concierge Shipping Service that ships from there door.
Our hunters are telling us that it is best to drive when you can. They say with a partner and rotating driving, you can get anywhere within the states in a day or two.You can use a meat processor close to home and your own taxidermist if you bring all your gear back.If possible, our recommendation is to drive. It's nice to take a day off and do some touring while your deer is being butchered and frozen and then loading the cooler for the ride home. It's important to plan ahead and figure out how you want to handle your meat/cape/antler needs before the hunt.
We hunt in North Central Nebraska near the towns of Stuart and Valentine.Cell phone reception is not very good in these areas.
If you click on the city name in blue, you will be taken to a page where you can type in your zip code.
